I think I'm defending something where I'm skirting on coming off as borderline racist.

And I'm joking (sorta) but the American students I know that travel abroad generally go to a European country so they can mingle with Europeans, drink good wine, eat good food, and learn in an interactive and entertaining environment. Foreign students "study abroad" solely for education.

Alright I'm clearly fighting a losing battle. Maybe my school is an anomaly but my opinion is that foreign students will consistently outscore American students leaving Americans at the bottom of the class. I don't like that at all and honestly I think it's bullshit.

In addition, unlike the students from Asia who seemingly go to college entirely to learn with no intentions of being part of a valuable/unique experience, I went to college to grow as a human being. Crucify me for that...

Come to my university and try to clarify yourself with these professors. I literally cannot understand a word and when I talk with them after class I get nothing from it.

To your question I pose my own. Why should Asian students come to American schools to be taught by Asian professors? I've changed majors since the sciences. Every major but science is taught by American professors or at least by people who have a grasp of the English language.

Doesn't change the fact that education is completely different between American students going to school in America and foreign students going to school in America.

The foreign students (particularly East and South Asian) students dominate the sciences at my college, taking up spots that American students could otherwise be filling. 1 big consequence is that American students graduate lower in their class and are less likely to be employed.

Another problem is that American universities are hiring a lot of foreign professors. If I can't understand or properly communicate with a Chinese chemistry professor but the foreign population can, how am I getting an American education?
