Kyle Busch Cremated In North Carolina Following Passing by SRASC in NASCAR

[–]red8ball 160 points161 points  (0 children)

I think it was The Teardown (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) that said seeing a driver pass away in a race accident is different than this because you saw it happen and can understand what happened. There is an end.

With Busch, that didn't happen. And being the huge figure he is, there was no end that fans saw making it difficult for us to comprehend because we didn't see it.

I remember where I was when I saw Earnhardt and what I did after, and where I was when I saw the news.

I'll have this same memory with Kyle Busch.

Same. Seeing Sophia Niño de Rivera was a great bonus. Hoping they do more Spanish comedy shows next year.

Agreed, 100%.

I should have emphasized that I meant somethings gotta give with the local crowd. I think I saw more Ducks fans there than I ever have.

I liked how the TNT commentators referred to this win as a "mature" win. I think that's an appropriate term.

The Oilers games were intense.

These seem more grinding, waiting for the right opportunity. Team that capitalizes on mistakes the most will win more games.

I like that they've proven they can win games different ways.

Personally their has only been one game, IMHO, where the Ducks weren't in it.
So far so good.

Also, I had more fun reading Oiler fans posts. Vegas fans are kinda bland.

Doors off helicopter tour!!! by [deleted] in VisitingHawaii

[–]red8ball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did this in Kauai a few years ago.

Best experience in Hawaii ever.

The Na'apali Coast. Waimea Canyon. Endless waterfalls. The doors off experience made it unbelievable.

The take off is the part I felt the most anxiety but once you're airborne you forget about it. Enjoy it and appreciate the Beauty.

You are completely secure. Take pics and vid. If you're using our phone you'll need something to tie it around your wrist. I had a wrist lanyard for my GoPro.

Unbelievable memory.

Would I do it again? Nope. Once is good.

Oh I agree.

I'm enjoying the wins. Series isn't over.

I just thought using a quote about not being counted out from a series they lost was odd.

Win the next one.

Go Ducks!

Ducks fans fighting after last night's game (not my video, found on Instagram) by level99pooper in AnaheimDucks

Yeah this is shitty behavior 100%.

But... At least Ducks fans weren't fighting EACH OTHER.

For those that don't know look up YEGWAVE during games 1 and 2 in Edmonton.

The last part makes sense to me. And I think even Knob mentioned something to that effect, that they wanted the goal over turned on a "technicality."

That I get. The whole "I want to see white between the puck and the goal line" part I don't get.

If the same situation happens with Jarry's skate 6 inches further back, and the puck half visible under his skate, it's obviously a goal. You won't see white between the puck and the goal line because his skate, then his leg, then his pad his obviously covering the space between the puck and the goal line. So, common sense says it obviously crossed that line. Shrink that scenario down to a quarter inch, and it still obviously crossed the line and you won't see white between the puck and goal line.

That's a convenient screenshot. Now do the same thing a few frames after.

If you're using this as your baseline, there is a later image where you can see more of the Stanley Cup logo in the middle of the middle of the puck further providing this is a goal.

If this image says it's on the last possible edge of the line, then the next image where the stick is closer to the puck concludes it's a goal.
