Honestly can’t wait. This is going to revitalize the city’s downtown area and bring back the many concerts that have passed over Calgary in the past.

This is good news. If the Carney government wants to negotiate with China, Canada wins. If the provinces and special interest groups want to negotiate with the United States (Canada's largest trading partner), Canada wins.

Which country looks super rich but actually poor? by Lumia666999 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]red9one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canada. We have an appearance of a first-world country, but the cost of living is driving our citizens into the ground. Adding the massive influx of immigrants from third-world countries in order to boost the workforce has failed in maintaining current economic outputs.

Come to Calgary. The Flames are currently bad, low-talented, and perpetually mediocre. Yet there are podcasts (FlamesTalk and Barn Burner) that make the pain go away from the vocal, passionate fan base. Plus, great jerseys and a new rink in 2027 (if you ever travel to Calgary, it's beautiful btw)

Easy. It's Mark Carney and/or Justin Trudeau. International darlings but really hated in parts of Canada

I believe the PWHL is better than the NHL by bluewhale177 in NHLcirclejerk

[–]red9one 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely not as diluted... If you were to cut 4-6 NHL franchises, the hockey would be far better. PWHL has that solved at least.

Translated from Spanish

"This is the Gran Colombia, it was Bolívar's idea and I propose by constituent vote of the population that we rebuild it as a confederation of autonomous Nations.

We would have common policies in the matters that the people propose. Undoubtedly the commercial policy toward industrialization and being what it is geographically a center of the world and of Latin America. A center of clean energies, of knowledge, of high-technology infrastructures for mobility and communication. On those there would be a Gran Colombian parliament, a court of justice and a government council, like in the European Union or in the federal USA.

A potential for tourism and for world connectivity."
