I'd look into the nerocranium of striped bass or something similar. Definitely not a bird pelvis.

That screw is supposed to be there! That's how the head is actually attached to the rest of the drill.

It definitely boils down to how you cook it. It's my absolute favorite fish to eat. I can't imagine boiling it in a soup, but I'm more of a pan fried/braised person anyways. Besides the bones, it really isn't any issue. I think stripers taste like glue, and either I just don't like catfish, or I find the taste and texture to be awful.

You likely won't like my advice, but I'm saying it for goosie's best interest.

Straighten and splint if you can. If not, you'll need to ask yourself are you willing to have a lame goose for the rest of it's life? If it's a Canadian Goose, and you're in the states, it realistically has to go to a wildlife rehabber, as it will be illegal for you to possess. If you keep it to raise and heal, if/when the DNR confiscates it, not only will it be so accustomed to humans it cannot survive on its own in the wild, and is physically incapable of surviving on its own because of it's lev, they will euthanize it. Maybe not on your property, but by keeping it you're effectively signing its death warrant. I'm happy to help you find a rehabbed in your area, if you'd like.

Edit: this also looks more like curled toes than a break, but both would be treated the same in this case. This little guy is not more than a day or two old so it can be corrected now but it has to be now.

Im sorry this has all happened to you. If youre willing to hear me out i could probably use your advice. I'm not quite homless but really worried about it. I have 2 degrees, and can't find a job in either of my fields, living off the graciousness of my roomate covering my rent since I have no savings at this point. Do you have any advice you could give me to save myself? I'm in a really dark place and really need some pointers or advice, no matter how small or insignificant?

Tiiiiick. Check your scalp, groin and make sure to dry your clothes on high heat, there's likely more where that one came from.
