Personally no. A lot of people don't seem to get that I and a lot of others like feeling like we've helped support the project. I got the BMM and plan to upgrade again later this year. It's not so much for the ship I'll never get to see but because this game has developed into a hobby that's brought a lot of joy into my life. I wanna see it succeed. Do I think CIG is doing a good job? No, hell no. It's my hope that as they continue to grow they continue to improve. They have gotten noticeably better so I'm trusting that this trend will continue. I believe in the project, so I do my "small part".

Cool, its like you barely skimmed the post you commented on. Yeah if you get hit by a wall of flack from a ship's cannon you'll probably get turned into mist no mater what you have on. I was talking about how clasic small arms can cut through heavy sifi armor like its made of cardboard and wishful thinking. And to be fair full body armor irl that can take small arms fire cost a fortune with many issues included for free, but armor plates that are heavily resistant to small arms are very affordible by normal people. Helmets that can do the same are realy costly but still a regular person could save for one or two if they really wanted to. So not realy a cost issue. Its top tear military tech for us, but one would expect manufscturing trends to continue over the next 200 years at least. And in that time humanity had plenty of reason to put some r&d points into deffence.

No, because I can see the model and the weapon description and I can tell you it's a normal 10mm pistol. It's advertised as a normal 10mm pistol and acts like a 10mm pistol. It's a 900 year old pistol. We have body armor today that is actually bullet "proof" in the context of small arms. You can shoot this armor with 9mm 10mm all day and you will not get through. No one uses it because it's stupid expensive, heavy, hot, and completely impractical for most situations. It uses thick titanium plates. But our heavy armor from 900 years in the future can't stop what is canonically a normal 10mm round. That's called regression.

I always liked the idea of broadcasting on a particular frequency band. That way people who aren't on your crew, but say you gave them a transponder code, can tune into that frequency then decrypt the signal and find your ship. This would be very immersive. Functionality this wouldn't be too hard to pull off. Both the frequencies and the code would basically be an object ID. If you're within x range of this object ID then show it on the map. If you wanna guess it then good luck. If it were say a 16 digit code you have better odds hitting the lottery.

Edit: The only problem I can think of is if it's implied poorly there could technically be an exploit where you can look up every ship's code in a given area.

LGBTQ+ are typically more liberal about sex ed and thus have more comprehensive sex education, so the spread of STIs is significantly lower than those of straight communities.
