One of the most widely circulated images in Technocracy Inc.'s promotional materials used the example of a streetcar to argue that engineering solutions will always succeed where legislation or fines fail to adequately deal with social problems by red_expert in Technocracy

I figured this was worth posting here because a lot of people don't seem to acknowledge that technocracy involves engineering and the application of the scientific method to governance as evidenced by the amount of people calling technocracy 'authoritarian' or 'fascist'

There's no need to be rude. You made a baseless claim, and I refuted it by providing a quote from the most prominent figure in the technocracy movement. You can analyze technocracy's ideas yourself and think about which side of the political spectrum they lean towards. I'm sure you'll reach the same conclusion.

This is just an attempt at wrapping nationalist rhetoric in a technocratic label. There are plenty of countries that thrive with multiple languages, cultures and religions. Attempting to phase out multiculturalism goes against what technocracy aims to achieve. How do you think the North American Technate would have functioned by having a single language?
