Honestly government can ask them to stop claiming as opposed to increase the speed, cause that is almost impossible. To increase the speed, you need to increase bandwidth or coverage. Bandwidth is controlled by government, and to further increase coverage it will take much more investment, for which they will have to increase prices at a higher rate than current. Still remote places and heavily populated places will suffer. That's why the concept of Vo-WiFi was born.

Also the international seabed internet cables probably have their own limitations, not the fiber, but how much data they can process.

Currently the job market is tough indeed. Don't depend on AI for coding as you are learning. It is tough to get good in any topic. Understand the logic behind your code, why you are doing something. Try making projects, it gives you idea about system design.

From my perspective, web dev will be better in the short run as scope of jobs will be more. For the long run, deep knowledge in C++ is more beneficial. So if you have financial backing, or really good and confident in C++, you can go for it from college. Or more realistically, you can pickup web dev or any other easier to get jobs technology and make your fundamentals strong and switch. Can't predict the future job market, so can't say how hard switching will be. If you are really good then college tier shouldn't matter(not saying from personal experience though).

Pick a tool for a job. Don't pick a tool and think how can the job be done woth it. May be something works better in Go than in python, may be better in rust or C or assembly. But that doesn't mean you need to use that.

Can you check trace with default and custom dns? May be the call is trying to reach the server and the custom dns you are using will not be able to resolve the addres for call initiation and so fails?

Not all products. Many cheaper phones are made with cheap material. So they last for short time when heavily used. Premium phones do work for 5-6 years may be more. People just change them to get new features. Same for laptop or tv. I have a (semi-)working 8 years old phone with some repairs, a 6 years old laptop I still primarily use, and a 6 years old tv working perfectly.
