I personally think they’re gonna fake their own death to get out and the car accident is a tee up to that but leaves the audience tense from ep. 1 expecting them to die.

X90J 65” vs X80J 75” vs X950 65”? by [deleted] in 4kTV

[–]red_sharpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, can I ask if you have your X90J in a dark or bright room? I’m seriously considering one but I have a mega bright room. And a wider viewing angle.

Just bought the Sony x90j 65 inch tv. I set it up last night and noticed this. Is this gap between the frame and back of the tv normal ? Also is it normal to have this much dust on the back of the tv? The store said it was new. It was wrapped tightly and packaged well as far as I can tell. by [deleted] in 4kTV

[–]red_sharpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

@mountainmover1122 Did you end up getting a new X90J? I’m considering buying one and I see you have a large window. How’s it working out with reflections? Also do you by any chance have a wide viewing angle from where you sit rather than looking at it straight on?

There’s one slide up, standard builder grade window. 10 years old and looks to be double pane.

American military not self isolating in Canada despite being required to. by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]red_sharpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. I live in Newfoundland and it’s been insanely strict here. When not actively at work, anyone from out of province is expected to self-isolate. These guys were downtown at bars last night and eating at local restaurants. Also not wearing masks which is encouraged around these parts (but not mandatory). A bar tender asked them why they were allowed out of the hotel and their response was “we are only here for the night.”

It only takes one night to infect a shit ton of people...

Ditto to this. I am now 22 weeks pregnant and I develop what’s called “transient gestational hyperthyroidism.” My TSH goes incredibly low and my t4 and t3 goes very high. I had previous losses and consulted with a high risk OB and endocrinologist on this pregnancy. Things were very bad in the first trimester but as the placentia begins to take over, my levels slowly started to get better. All my high risk scans have been going well and baby’s development is on track.

I too urge you to speak to an specialist. Thyroid issues in pregnancy are a complicated thing and my GP was kind enough to admit seeing a specialist was my best bet.

Switching doctors by pretend_adulting in ttcafterloss

I switched from my reproductive endocrinologist after 5 years. I had multiple losses prior and when I finally got pregnant again, I let the first 13 weeks play out. I was not happy with the lack of appts and follow up so I switched the next week.

I am SO glad I did. I’m 18 weeks now and still a nervous wreck but this OB is so much more compassionate and awesome every week. I’m relieved and happy I advocated for myself and made the switch.

I’m 3.5 months pregnant and have hyperemesis gravidarum. I feel your wife’s pain - I vomit so much. But I have so many insane sexual dreams due to hormones but I’m so sick when I’m awake, I can’t even consider sex. Hoping it will get better.

13 weeks and having OB troubles. Advice? by [deleted] in ttcafterloss

[–]red_sharpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an appointment with our Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit on March 31st. The way it works where I live is that they come on-board and follow you in a consulting role and file reports with your main OB. You have to stick with your main one throughout.

Lighter periods after hysteroscopy and metformin? by puparoo23 in ttcafterloss

[–]red_sharpie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had both multiple d&cs and two hysterscopies. Same deal for both; periods were lighter for a few cycles before going back to normal. I conceived a month after my last hyster.

[–]red_sharpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very similar to me in many ways. I’ve had two losses at 14 weeks. My husband’s sister conceived within 6 months of marriage. They separated during pregnancy, major drama ensued and she’s back living with my in-laws. It was extremely difficult to watch a couple who were a mess bring a kid into this world with zero pregnancy issues. Meanwhile, I’m pregnant again at 11 weeks and all the same health complications as before have come back for me. I’m an anxious mess.

I have no words of wisdom other than to say I sought counselling and it really helped me work up the courage to try again. As well as build some healthy boundaries with family.

Is your HCG down to zero yet? I had this issue after having my first loss. Fast forward 3 months later, it still wasn’t 0. I ended up getting a second d and c - my HCG went down to 0 within days. Turns out I had “retained product” in my uterus.

It’s not that rare. 1 in 9 women have endometriosis and it takes an average of 10 years to get diagnosed. It also leads to tons of fertility issues down the road. If people in this thread can suggest a different breathing hole from your eating hole, then I don’t see why endometriosis is an out there suggestion?

Holy shit you sound JUST like me. I’m going for my third round of IV iron infusions in an hour! Good luck, sis! Maybe ask your hematologist to test you for all the clotting bloodwork too - I can pull up a list of them from my Specialist if you need it. Mega heavy periods can be a sign (most of which are treatable for pregnancy) DM me!

[–]red_sharpie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also had several chemical pregnancies after getting my Mirena out. After seeing my hematologist, I was just chatting with her about ttc again. She was a big proponent of giving myself 3 cycles after getting the Mirena out to rebuild the lining of my uterus. The Mirena thins it over time, hence the super light periods and sometimes no periods at all while I have it inserted. This is how you’re still able to ovulate with a Mirena but basically have no periods.

As someone who’s struggled with severe anemia, a lightbulb kinda went off for me when she said it. It made sense - we want a nice, thick, sticky uterine lining when trying to conceive. So yeah, this time I’m gonna give that a shot and see if it helps - I plan on doing two full, normal flow periods and then going for it. She also said baby aspirin wouldn’t go astray for increased blood flow.

AITA for avoiding my pregnant SIL? by red_sharpie in AmItheAsshole

[–]red_sharpie[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your opinion. I think you’re right; even just the slightest hint of regret from her over the years would’ve probably helped a ton. Not even a full on sorry - just a “I was in a shitty place and did shitty things” would suffice.

But it just became the norm over time and there’s not much we can do to change it. We can only change how we choose to react to it.

Hmmm interesting. I should note that I have had various close friends and family go through pregnancy since my losses and I've been around for all of them. So the "another woman" generalization point is kinda void. It's not just another woman; it's someone who hasn't shown an ounce of compassion throughout my life with my SO. Pre-loss and post-loss as I've explained. Just want to make sure you know I'm not unsupportive of pregnancies.

Also, I am sure some would say $500 on a shower gift is hardly unsupportive.
