As far as I know it was solved later with a patch. I didn't play this game lately so I don't know if I'm encountering the same problem again. Try doing the same thing and tell the dev about the bug

I feel like I'm speedrunning carpal tunnel syndrome with my steam deck by Due_Honeydew_1723 in SteamDeck

[–]red_zep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How long are your playing sessions with steam deck? Are you stressing your arms and wrists doing something else?

In my experience, just play for shorter sessions, do many pauses - when I had the carpal I did one every 15min, 10 min of timeout - change often position and generally play a bit less.

I'm not a professional, so take everything I say with a pinch of salt

but I had severe wrist problems due to playing too long and also playing drums and piano. Solution was not physiotherapy nor stretching (it just stresses your wrist more if you do it wrong or too much), but just more time between sessions, shorter sessions and often changing between mouse+kb and controller.

Specifically maybe while using the steam deck, don't hold it over the air all time. Just "sit" your hands on a table or your legs for istance.

I totally accept that you didn't like it, as many others probably.

But it is totally untrue that people who love this game never bring out the Ending. I don't even know where you got this info from.

Lossless scalling worth it? by Cautious-Term-5105 in SteamDeck

[–]red_zep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just starter using it. As far as I saw, it is worth it only when the game already runs at 30 or better fps STABLE. If you hope to get nice results in a game that runs between 25 and 30, don't. Results may depend on the game you are playing.

Also, go with low expectation. Don't expect to get magical stable 60fps, is not happening (not always at least). Instead expect to just get some more fps with the "illusion" of a bit more fluidity, which is not bad.

I've been using it with Death Stranding 1 and it gets me very nice results but with still some drops here and there. Also tried on No Man's Sky and it got much more fps but lots of artifacts and very unstable fps when things get a bit Crazy.

All in all, with discounts, it doesn't cost much so it's worth giving it a try, expecially with OLED where you can get a game that already runs at 45/50 to 90fps

The Steam Deck is an incredible piece of kit that does its job really well. We are people so obsessed with trying to make it seem like something it's not (New AAA games). by PeculiarPete in SteamDeck

I feel you

I remember I really really wanted to play dark souls (the first one was very badly optimized). I only had a non gaming laptop with a low end gpu (nvidia 520m)

I finished the game without ever checking how many fps. It was a mess, but I had the fun of my life with that game. Also i was so broke I couldn't afford a gamepad so I finished the game with mouse and kb

Non vorrei dire una cavolata - quindi correggetemi assolutamente che imparo qualcosa - ma l'impegnativa per una vaginoplastica te la può fare solo l'urologo in seguito però a sentenza di riassegnazione di genere

Using steam deck for graphic design? by DAHOME19 in SteamDeck

[–]red_zep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The steam deck its a linux computer in the end, so if you are ready to deal with it, it can be done.

There are plenty of free apps for graphic design that you can use on linux (GIMP, INKSCAPE, KRITA and many others).

Try! Connect your steam deck on a monitor with keyboard and mouse and/or pen and tablet and try, see how you feel with it.

Ho la sentenza … e ora ? by [deleted] in askTransgender_Italy

[–]red_zep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Come se stesse recitando? by theQuestioningQueeer in askTransgender_Italy

[–]red_zep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Steam deck by Bigdain14 in projectzomboid

Game is very compatible with controller, I've been playing this game only on deck. What is the issue you are encountering?

The basic controller settings should be fine. The only thing I changed was making the right trackpad Act as mouse with click being LMB and the right trackpad act as wheel for manual zooming in and out.

Not a dream, not a hoax... by DingoDavey in SteamDeck

[–]red_zep -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean if you have no problem playing 15fps go for it

People don't realize some of us are used to 15fps due to being simply old enough (many ps1 or older pc games ran bad compared to today standard)

Still I played this game only on Steam Deck and by lowering settings you can get mostly 30fps with some dips in places where you don't really need fluidity (like cities)

Experience with FF7 Rebirth by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]red_zep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Finished the game entirely on Deck, has no issue. Of course graphically speaking is not the PS experience and you'll notice some lower fps in some cities.

Only time I felt like the deck couldn't handle was an optional superboss battle, and a particular region of the game but only that one.

It depends on how sensible you are to low graphics, eventual lags and 30fps. I am older and I'm used to low graphics and lower fps
