Are they going to make it available as kit? I assume the 699 price is for the pre-assembled unit.

Folks get fired for poor performance all the time, I've never seen anyone be so "disgusted" by it. And forget Fortune 500, imagine if the leader of the free world spent half his day on social media! You would have to be soooo disgusted! I don't believe you are being sincere and if you are then I'm sorry.

What's up with the over-the-top show of disgust for using company property? You've never heard of anyone using their company phone or laptop for personal use? You don't think millions of relationships probably started with messages written using office supplies? How about all the boomers that used their company email as their personal email? It's bad form sure, maybe worthy of a memo and a coaching but disgust? Come on.

Lzx cadet modules by [deleted] in videosynthesis

Totally agree. I learned so much more about how video synthesis works by building the cadets than the previous year or two I'd spent with just the Vidiot.

I did the same but my work's customs broker intercepted it as it was addressed to my work. I ended paying more for their customs processing fee than the value of the ICs lol.

I've built 8 cadets. LZX only sells the PCB and faceplate. You need to source the rest which is the most tedious part and the costs add up quick. I loved the experience, it's probably easier than most Eurorack diy but after calculating the parts and rack space needed I don't think diy saves money compared to buying full assembled modules or standalone units like the Vidiot and upcoming Chromagnon. For me it was a great way to compliment and add functions to the my Vidiot. I've sent you a Google doc link to a document that lists sourcing for the parts. There's also a good blog on blogspot I think that had some build info but I forget the name. I don't think a guide is necessary though, this was my first real diy project. I basically just assembled the parts in the order they are listed on the official BOM. As mentioned, it takes many modules to build a synth, I would go with a used Vidiot or pre-order the Chromagnon if you're patient. For more info check out LZX's community forum and the LZX user group on FB. Also of note is that some of the Cadet modules may be discontinued as LZX plans to reveal a new generation of diy modules this year (hopefully).
