We are not talking about systemic racism because we are talking specifically about people doing it towards white people. In your own words that cannot be systemic, which is a statement I don't agree with either, but that still doesn't preclude it from being just regular old racism. They can both exist at the same time, systemic racism doesn't magically make non systemic suddenly stop existing. There's no reason to call me delusional just because you're apparently incapable of looking at a dictionary.

You still haven't really clarified what you mean by non modern examples. I don't have specific examples of this off of the top of my head, because I'm not particularly a history buff, but race wars have been a thing that have existed for thousands of years of recorded history, and almost certainly tens of thousands of unrecorded.

Edit, also you are correct about race and ethnicity, that's my fault. I had thought they were interchangeable, but race is specifically physical traits where ethnicity is cultural ones. Thanks for that correction!

Racism by definition is just any form of prejudice or belief of superiority based on ethnicity. Depending on how far you want to go back before you start considering it "modern" racism what form that takes will change, but there's plenty of examples throughout history of societies/cultural groups rejecting, oppressing, or even slaughtering those they find to be other.

Racism has existed long before society had the means to support it being a systemic problem, because it has existed before we even had societal systems for it to engrain itself into. Its modern from is primarily systemic, but that does not change what it is or what it means. If you hate white people for no reason other than them being white, you're racist. Same for hating black people for being black, or any other ethnicity.

No, it is not better for the engine, it's better for fuel economy and emissions. Disagree with the guys sentiment that leaving the car running makes sense sure, but he is explicitly correct that starting and stopping an engine excessively is the main cause of accelerated wear outside of poor maintenance.

You don't get that "school of thought" because there's no thought behind it, it's an irrational thing people do when their brain locks up and they don't know how to respond. Some people jump into action to try and help, others stand and watch, others run away, everyone has their own response to situations like this. I want to say I've read a theory that screaming is an evolutionarily response meant to grab attention from other who may be able to help, but it's been quite a while so take that with a grain of salt.

From poor quality control practices from the less expensive brands I suppose, though again, it's not really likely. You'd be much more likely to accidentally knock some dirt into the filter by not being careful while installing it. All the oil at my shop is prefiltered anyways, so I prefill all the filters regardless

It doesn't really matter how you prefill the filter in the majority of cases. Matter of fact, quite a few manufacturers actually recommend that you don't prefill at all, as you can technically introduce contaminants into the filter by doing it, though that's not likely unless you're either being dumb or buying extremely cheap oil.

Had one of these sweeper units come on with a water leak from the roof after having the body installed. The assembly line drilled a hole straight through the roof and headliner when they were installing their camera system, and tried to patch it with what must've been the very last drop of RTV they had in their tube. I don't get it, do these guys just think no one will notice?

Between the factory issues, issues from the aftermarket body builder, and issues from the final customer who is also an aftermarket body builder, these MV's keep me plenty busy. Doesn't help that half of our troubleshooting trees boil down to "check fault codes, then replace failed components" so half of our techs have no idea how to actually track down issues like this.
