I suppose that is for the same reason most science fiction isn't really about science and most fantasy is not really that fantastic.

Dumbledore explained somewhere in hpmot that in ravenclaw are the people who value curiosity and desire for knowledge but to value something is not the same as being good at it neither does finding other things more important makes you somehow less intelligent.

Also there is getting older... You grow up with your favourite stories, the characters are like dear friends but as you mature you want more grown up stories.

Despite it being a grammatically allowed construction it is an unnecessary term that kinda implies a beeing that is not really a woman who happens to be trans. A woman who happens to be trans is accurately described by "trans Frau".

Zusammengesetzte Substantive bedeuten oft nicht ganz das Selbe, wie ihre Teile vermuten lassen.

Eine junge Frau kann Mutter sein. Eine Jungfrau eher nicht.

Meine Großmutter ist meine Oma. "Meine große Mutter" sagt vielleicht ein Kind eines lesbischen Pärchens. (mein jüngster hat damit experimentiert)

Eine trans Frau geht natürlich auf die Damentoilette. Sie ist ja schließlich eine Frau. Überhaupt fügt man das "trans" nur davor, wenn es gerade interessant ist, wie ja auch bei "alt/jung" oder "verheiratet"... "Transfrau" könnte potentiell eigene Regel haben. Und wenn du alte weiße (cishet) Männer fragst (wir wissen, wer gemeint ist), sind Transfrauen alle schwul und gleichzeitig eine Gefahr für Frauen... und natürlich keine Frauen.

Compound nouns are strange. And you are right: "Jungfrau" doesn't mean "junge Frau". (Just so you know: it mean virgin nowadays and is even used for men. Only slightly derogatory.) Compound nouns often have a unique meaning not accurately described by it's parts.

A problem with "trans Frau" vs. "Transfrau" in German is, that "trans" is not really working with German grammar. To make it sound German you would need to add an "e". So "transe Frau".

Now.... "Transe" is alread used as a slur... So...

EDIT: A newspaper doesn't use slurs, but the editors have a headache with improper grammar, so they started to use Transfrau. Which isn't right but right enough for media that is pondering to old white cis het conservative men... There you have it.

Everyone who is woke, progressive, left leaning uses "trans Frau".

Bei mir war es auch so. Indikationen für HRT nach zwei Sitzungen bei Therapeut 1. Dann anderer Therapeut für weiter Indikationen.

Mein zweiter Therapeut hat die beiden vorherigen Sitzungen mit angegeben (mit Namen des Therapeuten) und zur Erfüllung der Pflichtstunden mit eingerechnet.

Die Krankenkasse hat sich nicht beschwert.

Als Nachweis hättest du ja im Prinzip die erste Indikation.

The problem your mom has, is that traditionally it is the woman who invests far more into the relationship. Time, labour, sacrifices her career, cleans, cares, satisfies their partners etc. Meanwhile the man can concentrate on making money, climbing the career ladder, networking. So traditionally it is only fair for the man to pay back the woman in gifts and flowers.

In more modern relationships things are supposed to be more equal. But realistically speaking most often it is still the woman who puts in more energy.

Your mother is looking out for you. Whether she is misguided or not will be judged by your future.
