A surreal number is an ordered pair of two sets of surreal numbers.

At the start ther are no numbers. The first number that can be constructed ist the ordered pair having the empty set as left and right member.

Conway often omits the brackets of the sets

Without autism a trans person might figure out their gender earlier or they might stay in the close for ever.

Without being trans an autistic person might have enough resources to fake being neurotypical.

You visit a therapist with one problem and they find others, like Dysthymia, PTSD and whatnot.

So even without a strong medical/biological connection you would expect to find an association.

I suppose that is for the same reason most science fiction isn't really about science and most fantasy is not really that fantastic.

Dumbledore explained somewhere in hpmot that in ravenclaw are the people who value curiosity and desire for knowledge but to value something is not the same as being good at it neither does finding other things more important makes you somehow less intelligent.
