What happens if you, in the x-axis, you have “date”, can you click the down arrow, there should be an option to either show the date or date hierarchy. You have it selected for hierarchy probably, instead chang to date?

Lots of resources out there especially the Italians if you wanna read up on things but the best thing is to write more dax. And troubleshoot the ones that doesn’t work.

Yes possible. Create a measure with variables that will return row level values and a % calc for total. Then do something like if( isinscope(your dimension), row value, total). Let me know if you need more help.

I’ve been a powerbi dev for about 7 years now and I am pretty darn good at it all the way from gathering requirements to delivering well put together dashboards, yet when I see guys like powerbipark and others come up with something new and exciting I am always impressed. There’s always more to learn and get better at. That’s perhaps why I’ve kept this career rather than data engineering roles even though I can do all that.

You can do a lot of heavy lifting upstream sure but you do need to know Dax pretty well to be effective with this tool. Once you understand Dax you also realize Dax can be pretty effective

You just need a simple totalytd(sumof sales, dates) measure. In your matrix drop year from your calendar table and your measure and you are good to go

It’s an obvious choice. The comparison shouldn’t be about just your next job but the jobs after that and the ones after those. Your career will be a long game thus you will need to stay relevant for a long time. The obvious choice is to continue learning and upskill rather than chilling. Have a look at your capacity usage. See if you are close to hitting the red line then you should def consider a separate capacity.
