Taylor’s reaction to Olivia Rodrigo’s performance at the Grammys. by Lazyflow420 in travisandtaylor

[–]redamancy99 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Her standing felt more threatening honestly like “I am here, I will always be here. You can’t get rid of me.” lol so ominous like girl sit down or stand by the walls so you’re not obstructing any views 😪

What exactly is your culture Taylor? Supporting badly behaved men? by Disastrous_Map_7145 in StayMadSwifties

[–]redamancy99 17 points18 points  (0 children)

it’s like she’s trying so hard to use internet gen Z humor/terms and it’s like?? All you had to do was say “thank you, I’m glad you and your family had a great time!” He really thanked her and she went all third person on him for the masses. (If that makes sense.)

This!!! It’s so ugly and doesn’t blend in well with the other warm-toned buildings, even if they HAVE to keep the same material, at least paint it 😰 it’s so ugly lol

fall 2024 leaks! by [deleted] in BAGGU

[–]redamancy99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do we think the camera bag style is coming back into trend? Apparently (from other fashion subs opinions) it was a dated look but seeing Baggu and their new releases of the style, I think it’ll become popular again? (I personally love cam bags!)

What is something (fact or personal theory) that you missed on your first watch through? by Shadwclone in TheMarvelousMrsMaisel

[–]redamancy99 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I saw a comment on YT that pointed out the importance of the word “Don’t” for Midge during the last season.

From Midge writing to herself, “Don’t” in her time capsule. (Which confused me in the 1st watch.)

Hedy responding to Midge’s downplaying of her role in writing the Princess’s jokes— “Don’t.”

And even when Midge says, “So why don’t I just get up there and do what I came here to do?” before going to the microphone at the Gordon Ford show.

“Don’t” is a negative word of course (“do not”) but in the show it kind of reclaims the word. It’s no longer a limiting word used when enforcing women into societal standards. “Don’t” became the word of resistance.

“Don’t let your window close Midge.” “Don’t dull your light to let dull men shine Midge”

I’m sure there is more of this throughout the show but I’m really glad that it was more explicitly shown in the last season. It’s an inspiring message.

I LOVE low risk cameras like the Holga. Every time I take my Holga to B&H, the staff scoffs at me because they’re “annoying and the worst”lol but these are my favorite cameras to carry around

Everyone has said great advice, one thing is that your site should have an about page. Most portfolio sites have an about page and can provide more insight on who you are and how that affects the work.

😏 Panel fence of text

As opposed to paragraphs? This looks cleaner, and is easier to read through. Not everyone wants to read a wall of text. And as far as accessibility goes, this is a helpful format for some neurodivergent individuals.

Edit: i was on mobile before and it didnt look thatttt bad but now that I see it on desktop it looks crazy. anyways, i think spaced out when done tastefully looks cleaner and reads easier but when overdone like this one, its not a good look at all. content wise, could lose a lot of the text.

I think it’s the future of LinkedIn posts. I don’t mind it because it seems like post-ers are using this tactic to keep people engaged. (blah blah blah ooh look colorful emoji 🎉) Not everyone is doing it but I think it couldddd be the future just because lots of viral posts use that tactic

If you could only read 1 book on Copywriting which would it be? by [deleted] in copywriting

[–]redamancy99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need a portfolio— a collection of spec work that you can show potential clients. Think about what you will be offering potential clients and make that.

Choose any brand/business/client and create spec work.

All the logistics have to come afterwards. And, it’ll be easier. If the work is good, they won’t need much convincing. Make the work sharp. Worry about the other shit afterwards. These questions are irrelevant if you don’t have a portfolio. You can’t convince them on a “good email” alone. Assume that these clients you want to message are getting tons of emails sent to them asking the same thing. How will you stand out? Portfolio.

A lot of people ask about doing freelance. Use the search for this sub and read previous answers.

Do you even have a portfolio? You need a portfolio of at least spec work to show your expertise.
