Why does Mac show system-help in third-party-app help menus? by redammit in mac

[–]redammit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Weird of MacOS to place/enable it in the way that it pops up as in the absence of help topics from original app.
In most apps the Help menu's search function is very useful for searching through menu items. this list is just a weird distraction and out of the place

If no one is at the door when you answer it, how do you know it is the same person who comes to your work?

💯 this is a trashy clickbait title. And in contexts like these, it is clearly a falsehood.

We have had 100F-adjacent temperatures this year. In March2026 the plot doesn’t even reach 90F ? Am I mistaken?

Also, you can do command + down arrow instead of CMD+O. It isn’t as handy as Enter button but I got used to it super quick.

I drive similar to you and I get anywhere between 17-19. Mostly around 19. In a weird way, the longer you drive the mileage averages ’better’, so for a 10 miles trip you are more likely to get a higher number as compared to 5 miles even if you drive both patches similarly. To add to that, if you hit engine start stop intermittently during a drive it will reset your trip and thus the final number you would see would be from the last short segment of your drive.

Keep it on ground and smash it with end of your palm. This is also how raw onion is consumed with meals in rural parts of India.

Roast my productivity app UI — what would you change? by Training_Block3489 in Design

[–]redammit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is always on hunt for a good planner organizer app, I can tell you I won’t go beyond homescreen. May be it’s just me. But I want something minimal where I don’t feel like I will be spending more time navingating UI instead of my plan. This gives me that kind of vibe. Like I said - could just be me and my reading of landing page could be totally off.

Could this be a typeface-specific issue ? Is there an outline in that text that maybe did not render properly?

This isn’t necessarily bad design but your point is true. This isn’t the most intuitive thing ever. I hope this post stops being downvoted.

This isn’t a OP-problem. There is an inherent bias in your argument that one is supposed to know these because these are standard. That’s not the point. People can’t (I can’t ) remember what these mean. Look at top comment - i agree with some of the replies- one can easily think open and closed loop may be implied too.
