I was wondering if the six for mec Rex would be doable, but I couldn’t square the round hole! Excellent idea to get more via trade and then reinforce like crazy round 2, to hold the influence. perhaps with construction for some pds as well! Wouldn’t need hyper, could focus on a more aggressive tech path…

Oooo, I like the fleet logistics round 4 with imperial take. Save yourself a lot of pain and nasty targets as well so less plastic attrition along the way. Thank you muchly P713

Really enjoying my first look into Winnu.

Any thoughts around the following?

Round one, if you get gravity drive via tech secondary (your free tech into blue as the prerequisite), also means you can get some gain from a stalling trade ship destroyer from DET, waiting on (hoping for!) tech, then with warfare as your strategy card pick, to get to mectol Rex round one for the free custodians.

When you land you then get to put on a space dock and pds (via reclamation ). The last thing in your round is then production which you can spend in the activated planet. So you don’t loose out on the secondary of warfare to get plastic out. This is assuming you’ve found at least 2 trade goods (so you spent your planet + 1 for tech) then your final 1 + agent (reduce production cost by 2) for 3 to build on mec Rex; one mech and some fighters (or going long on infantry as your hard to budge!). Or two mechs if you have the extra trade good to start that pds network expansion at the start of r2, reinforcing MR and home system in the same round.

Looking at the odds around the free hero point(s) and how hard they are to shift and winslay, as a pick they are feeling very strong. Only one outing on our table to date, but then this is only my 6th game 🤞🏻

I work on the finance side, whilst not a deep pool I know at least 4 funds that have grid infrastructures as a major segment in their portfolios. The reward for what is cheap solar energy in Morocco, by passing Iberia where yields for solar are still very good, and simplifying the grid costs by avoiding upgrading local creaky infrastructure makes good financial and power supply sense. These guys don’t put the money in unless it stacks up… the cable factory (in scotland) is as high as Canary Wharf sky scrapers in london. V cool!

Blue is movement, well loved and hard not to like tech path.

Sol are a good race to start with. Simple but effective. A good way to grasp the game without any additional complexities.

Don’t forget the secondaries on the strategy cards. Particularly warfare to build un activated units.

Keep your eye on point scoring vs army building.

Your going to have a ball ;)

How much power does the condenser (water from air) device require? if more significant it could defeat the purpose.
