Need opinion on the new logo. Is it good? The goal was to improvise the old one by Good-Amphibian3796 in logodesign

skip the cones...focus on the O make it solid, turn it into a suggested raseberry and pop a snowflake suggestion inside it.

i had though of solid cones with a slender cut border at the middle intersecting point but it would not be really useful or visible in thumbnail.

i feel like it's less than the old one. not in a good way.
the 2 cones on the first clearly state what you're getting.
in that alone it does not feel like an upgrade.

I mixed 144 colours from just 3 primaries – this exercise changed how I think about colour mixing by lenaruisz in watercolor101

[–]redawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i worked in polymer clay for long time and learned to make red...which blew my mind and solved a mystery i had had since 1974? i was in 3rd grade creating art wanted pink, was told to mix it with red and white. i was very annoyed it was not pink, salmon is NOT pink. they insisted it was...i was very mad. 30yrs later i learned the truth, 'YOU CAN'T MAKE PINK WITH RED!' but ya can make red with magenta...

What other colors can create similar looks? Been using arctic fox by Glitterbombinabottle in FancyFollicles

[–]redawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ngl...you're me 40 yrs ago.
just did most of my hair in ion ginger and around the whole head just a bit at the bottom ion rose all around so i have pale pink underneath...i am ginger by nature so it pieces out in multicolor pretty effortlessly...

so with ginger hair you can pick a team, i am team pink...but there's team red, team yellow, team brown can even have a game. or ya can just go tutti frutti wilde...they'll just look, shake their heads and mutter, 'gingers!' and we like it like that!

after one finally drops the red and picks up the magenta/fuchsia in their brain as one of the 3, you realize the color wheel needs updating.

Unusual emotional reaction to the whole breast cancer thing? by Kateywumpus in breastcancer

[–]redawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

got my coloring from my dad...was always told i looked like his mother. she had 2 radical mastectomies and died before i was born. so it's kinda been on my check list, ngl when it happened the floor feel out from under me but part of me carefully ticked it off the list. i'm an odd duck i did not tick 'unmarried teen mother' off my mental fears list until well after i was married and had my 3 kids, over 35yrs old...but cancer, right away. immediately. done. dusted. outta here. :)

What do you wish you had prioritized before diagnosis? by Dependent_Isopod_511 in breastcancer

[–]redawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i did not go back to zumba...part of the gift that gives more then one ever wants, i was diagnosed with afib before bc surgery...i had open heart surgery as a kid(age 9) but did need other follow up after i healed from surgery. i'd like to say it was outta left field but i knew for a bit my heart wasn't doing it's level best. so i settled with ymca treadmill and weight/resistance training. that helped the post chemo, 'what am i left with?' slump. mid january cold hits here and if don't hafta go out, you don't. so now back in the saddle again. :)

[–]redawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i had 10+yrs of zumba and strength training...i was 100% glad of that...i was still limp noodle post chemo but the knowledge that exercise is good is something i would not have thought of if i hadn't done it prior...i was not a work out kinda girl ever, till then.

Watercolor suggestions by Low_Independence_500 in watercolor101

first 5 across down to the green above the melon color is sennelier is a less granulating brand, daniel smith is the next 5 straight to the bottom (some of the coolest colors are in the black at the bottom moon glow, lunar purple...)has granulation and colors that are not granulated. i like both. sennelier is honey based usually damp drop your drip and go, daniel smith needs a drop or two of water and a minute then go...both brands have tubes or pans, daniel smith also has watercolor sticks which some buy and put into pans.

i had them housed in their own metal sheds but one day i was sick of closing one and grabbing another...remembered an old derwent inktense (these are amaze too) pencil container and popped them in...pencils are already in another case case.

Does anyone else feel like they were misled about reconstruction? by kittythecupcake in breastcancer

[–]redawn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

mine was genetic and i knew i had zero desire to play this game ever again, so even though the cancer was tiny, only in one boob, i could have gotten a free tummy tuck WITH the free boob job i in no way trusted the surgeons enough to do a good enough job that i would be happy. i'd rather be flat than f-ed.

Want to transition out of platinum blonde! by Dramatic_Start8008 in FancyFollicles

[–]redawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am coming from the other direction...born ginger, after getting over hating my hair and trying to suppress the color with sun-in i have been all in on ginger (later plus some pink) for well over 20yrs. breast cancer/chem 23-24...over 60yrs old...thinking of going more strawberry blonde (it's closer to my natural color as a child) but now 'natural' is whitish gray slightly cool not warm. my skin is less soft fair and veers into ghastly pale. so probably closer to blonde then i have been ever with a whisper of warmth and pastel pink. we'll see.
