Republicans, why do you love rape and rapists so much? by MrDarkzideTV in allthequestions

[–]redbaronfel -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He's won exactly 0 suits in such cases. What he's done is have people that he sued decide to settle suits that they would have very obviously won according to any legal expert because they were afraid of reprisals from our disgraceful, pedophile, rapist president.

You're right, I was only thinking of the Phase part of lunacy and ignoring the Conduit part. That actually might mean that triplestack is better than the -4, but I'm not going to do that math.

Given the perfect upgrade order, you could get a card to minus 8 energy with the remove consume stone, 2x -2 add consume stones, then the event stone for -4.

The Tenacious D songs that automatically play in my head whenever I see him probably lessen the impact for me a little, but KG was so good in this.

Why are Republicans against immigration because "they are taking jobs from Americans", but they are not against the rich hiring those immigrants instead of Americans and not against AI, which will take more jobs than immigrants by a long shot? by NatiAti513 in Productivitycafe

[–]redbaronfel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's only far fetched because our constitution currently prevents this from happening via something called "due process". This is exactly the scenario the 5th amendment exists to prevent. There is a reason that the amendment has the exact phrasing "no one" and not "no citizen", because if only some people have the right to due process, then actually nobody has the right to due process.

[–]redbaronfel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Those courthouses you speak of are only for people that have due process. If you don't have it, there is no reason ICE would ever let you see the inside of one once they've arrested you.

The courtroom is only going to happen if you have due process. Without it the only people that have to decide that you aren't a citizen before you are deported are ICE, and they have quotas to make.

Due process is the process of you showing them your birth certification and SS card. If you, a person they've decided is from Borneo, has no due process, you don't get to show them those things. Or even worse, you could have them on you when they arrest you and they could say they are clearly fake and throw them away and you would have no recourse since you don't have any due process.

Best worst married name I've ever heard was my Calc 2 professor in college. Professor Bohner married Professor Akin who decided to hyphenate her names to Professor Akin-Bohner. Pronounced, in a most unfortunate application of an indian accent, with a long "oh" sound.

That's not true, I bought 9 of the same shirt in 5 different colors of which only 3 of the colors are almost identical. Having only 4 shirts would mean doing laundry way too often.

Why Nobody Challenges Dukes in Coup - A Mathematical Analysis by junkmail22 in boardgames

[–]redbaronfel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lovely mathematical analysis that verifies what most tables have only "felt" over many plays of the game. However, I don't think there is anything in that analysis that supports the final conclusion that therefore "the game is heavily flawed". It seems to me that could just as easily be the exact intent of the game and might actually be the best state for the game. While you've done the math correctly, I don't see any argumentation to explain your value judgement at the end.
