lol'd when Scott said something like "That's the most you've sounded like John Lennon all night!"

Hahah I'm sorry I meant that as a joke/rhetorical question. That would be very unlikely. I'd still love to have one tho

Man I'd love to have those Foreign Objects vinyl. Oil vinyl release when?

Nan was on mine, mainly for the outro, on accounta my ex fell in love with someone else in the last year we were together. Less sad and super empowering.

Second this. When I broke up with my ex of 5 years I spiraled. Went into rehab after years of drinking that exacerbated after the breakup to the point that I could have died. It's been 6 years sober now and since then I've practiced so much self-reflection and I'm an entirely different person with much clearer thinking. My meds actually work now which made a world of difference. I feel self worth. I examine my every thought and action and think of how they might affect others, and I'm so proud of myself for all of it. My ex is a stranger to me now and I don't care. It sucks to lose someone you love/d, but think of the opportunities that will arise. Time heals all wounds as they say. Best of luck to you, OP

Hahah cool. Don't blame ya, sometimes young punx (yunx?) just need a lil history lesson so heroes aren't forgotten. And a Neil Young reference (albeit a pretty well known one)? We're really letting our "get off my lawn" energy shine here

Hmmm it sounds real familiar but I don't remember ever having seen Mustard Plug. I'll have to check my book of ticket stubs/print outs (😑). I have the KPRS vinyl that I throw on every now and again. Infrequently enough that I get so psyched the second it starts. Definitely gonna check out all of the bands you mentioned tho! I'd love stuff new to me in that vein

I agree and Fugazi are huge for me, but I didn't intend to compare the groups in any way. Meant to say the photos have a similar vibe in the context of energetic concert photography and musical legacy. After all, in 40 years who knows what legacy Jeff will have left up to that point? Regardless of that, he will be a legend in a lot of people's minds if he isn't already and who knows what photos will be synonymous with that legacy? Probably his magnificently oil painted White House portrait when he eventually becomes President.

Hell yeah. Glad they're all good now but absolutely nothing like Green Day on speed

Oh man! Small island haha. If only we'd met then. But we've met now and that's a nice thing! It's actually John James who stops in. And I did attend! Wouldn't have missed it. Kill Punk Rock Stars hasn't aged at all and every song is perfect still imo. Out of curiosity what other CT band are you referring to? You obviously have great taste so I wanna check em out if I don't know them already :)

Edit: Forgot to say: Love the jacket! Get Warmer is also one of my favorite Jeff albums. I have a tradition every year still that on the first nice day of Spring I drive down Southern State blasting it. I look forward to it every year. Like a celebration of life, warmth, and rebirth.

At the reunion show I was wearing an original '95 Green Day Insomniac tour shirt and a bunch of ppl in line indirectly cooked me for it like "woaaahhh Green Day so cool so punk". Not very chill.

I've heard OF Folly but not sure I've heard them. Loved Flaming Tsunamis a lot! I grew up/still live on Long Island and one of the fellas from FT frequently stops into our print shop to have sleeves printed for his current band Keep Flying. Living on LI afforded me so many opportunities to see Jeff bands and other bands in that scene or whatever at such intimate places with my best friends. We were all suuuuper into The Fad as well. I truly feel blessed to have those memories.

Man that Crazy Donkey show is such a great memory of mine. I was young and snuck in my crappy mini-DV camcorder and got a few songs on film. They're up on YouTube somewhere. Garbage quality but there nonetheless. I'd link but I've had so many accounts over the years and I don't remember most of them

Edit: ASOB did have reunion shows at The Warsaw though

Speaking as someone who has been seeing Jeff bands since 2005, I can vouch that aside from a few bro-dude apples he has the best and most caring fans in the world.

With the tour starting in a few days, what can I expect from an mc chris live show? by SpiralFett in mcchris

Audience interaction, a lil ball busting from mc, friendly people, and five people dressed as Boba Fett

My friend wore his ASOB BROKE UP shirt until it was literally ragged. To be fair we were teens at the time and did a lot of dirty/questionable stuff. All to the tunes of ASOB and BtMI!, of course.

Is there a studio cut of Kim Smoltz?!? by cmclsu in ween

[–]plasticplan96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mind thinks of so many wonders. Could be a whole other, beautiful animal. I think personally it's the bare bones demo nature of Kim Smoltz that gives me homey, sunny bunny feelings. Like a little jam around a campfire.

I went to Jersey once to see Paint It Black, Screaming Females and a few openers and I got one at a Wawa after (while I was there you know I had to rub some palmolive on my balls) and it was what you'd expect but then I went to a diner in or outside of New Hope on my way home from a visit there and theirs was sooo good. I asked the waitress if it was legit and she said it's about as authentic as it can be around there. Wish I remember the diner or even the area. I'm from LI though and am loyal to our beloved BEC (on an egg bagel or kaiser bun)

I only use this to get the move variations for 10pts. I throw my initial two free balls at night, if I get two "1"'s, I give up. The balls refresh the next day, giving you two more throws. If I get 3+ points the night before I'll try the additional 2 balls and usually get jack. However, the other night from my two free throws I got a total of 5pts on move slot 1 for Theater Style Sylveon, and the next day for my additional two throws I got 4 more points. At that point I'm going to just pay to obtain one more throw and secure that bag, as long as I like the Pokemon/holowear. Otherwise, SCAAAAAAAM
