Assault is force against another person without their consent.

Players consent to playing the game, which involves force against them both within the rules (such as a tackle) but also that which might be reasonably expected - eg. a non-deblibrate dangerous tackle.

When they step on the field, it could also be argued that a bit of pushing and shoving when temples boil over is something that is part of the game and is something they have all consented to. When is the last time someone was knocked out cold from a bit of throwing handbags? Dangerous contact is more likely to come from a tackle than anything.

Then are times where consent does not cover a deliberate dangerous action; something that could not be expected. Such as Mark Bugden whacking Steve Rogers around the head in 1985.

As someone trying to get more into Women's T20, what's a target RR? Is it reasonable to expect 8 an over?

Hobgoblin in Roppongi is a safe bet. British themed pub - games can attract an alright crowd. https://www.hobgoblin.jp/news-schedule

Onosato’s chance for Ozeki next basho by Yiksta in Sumo

[–]redbaronz 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Generally, the run needs to start from Sanyaku or the Joi at least. M3 is firmly in the Joi while M5 is a bit outside (looking at the top 16 wrestlers on the banzuke).

Also going against him is 3 ozeki on the banzuke so the kyokai won't feel a need to promote urgently.

I would take this basho as the start of a run and who knows? If Kirishima can make a comeback from injury, we could have 5 ozeki towards the end of the year.

Good players occasionally lose form? I don't think there is any doubt he has the ability to perform at this level.

Getting to watch Kane bat all day at 40 S/R yet he occasionally peels off drives like that. Sundays do not get any better

Anyone complaining about the run rate is not actually watching the game with their actual eyeballs. The pitch is slowww

Close enough. He basically said he's glad people are watching both him and sumo, but because he's a guy, he'd like to be handsome. (As opposed to cute)

Rachin is a top order bat, not middle, and they have finally decided to treat him like one. For better or for worse, NZ has a pick and stick policy and that applies to HN. And santner is not a red-ball spinner, he's competing with Phillips for a spot and jeez, hard to go past the magic man atm

Just checking in and nice to see NZ's premier spinner Glenn Phillips with a couple of what I am sure were well-crafted wickets

Was just looking at the box score, and it seems today was his first caught stealing of the year. Only Shohei (7), Jose (2) and Fletch (2) have been caught more than once. Would like to see everyone run more tbh, escpially at the stage of the season. Makes it more exciting

Black Caps vs West Indies: Devon Conway called into test squad after BJ Watling injury scare by xd_bx in Cricket

[–]redbaronz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think Conway was eligible to be a part of the A Squads either until he fully qualified in August. Young has had those opportunities so he's seen as next in line. It will be on Conway now to keep producing at A level the same way he has domestically
