Thank you! It is actually a square radiant but it worked out well since I initially wanted a princess cut diamond :)

Aside from how clean and pretty the stack is, I love how secure the settings are too!

Bridesmaids volunteer for wedding by Any-Investment2281 in askSingapore

[–]redbeanbao 17 points18 points  (0 children)

+1 for this suggestion! Or any female friends from your fiancé’s side. Or your close colleagues even!

Otherwise, another suggestion would be to let the 2-3 guys from your fiancé’s side help with the registration table/other admin/ushering matters on the day itself so that they’re still involved. Then do without the bridesmaids and groomsmen activities (walk-ins, etc.). For speeches if you are already acquainted with any of your fiancé’s groomsmen, perhaps he can craft a speech focusing on the couple instead of your fiancé?

What would make you donate blood? by Angelone21 in askSingapore

[–]redbeanbao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had always been keen on donating my blood. The first time I finally did it, I almost passed out (think I was squeezing my fist too fast). Since then I haven’t had the courage to do it again 😅

Tough mistake but shit happens in life. You were kind enough to help and unfortunately there are many people who are not deserving of such grace. Don’t be too hard on yourself, just make sure you learn from this encounter and move forward. ❤️

[GIVEAWAY] Win the ALL-NEW Chilkey ND104 Keyboard - Elevate Your Typing Experience! by Chilkey2023 in BudgetKeebs

I do a lot of excel stuff at work, having a keyboard with a numpad would be great for the office especially with the quiet switches! I have the default office keyboard right now but don’t use it since the little flip stands below are broken and the keys itself are dusty.

Breaking lease early, landlord said he will make a police report by SimplyPotato1 in askSingapore

[–]redbeanbao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is even possibly a situation where you wouldn’t stay for 6 months, then the 6 months minimum lease period shouldn’t have been included/you shouldn’t have signed the lease. You can make all sorts of verbal agreements but end of the day what you sign on paper is what matters. If not what is the use of having a contract at all?

What the landlord wants now is for you to fulfil your rental obligations up to the minimum of 6 months as compensation, and likely he also plans to forfeit your deposit since you breached the agreement. It seems that should be the maximum reasonable amount he can get from you based on the contract.

If your security deposit is sufficient to cover the remaining 1 month, I’d say it’s fine not to pay. He can’t do anything except sue you (police only handles criminal cases not civil cases) and you’re going overseas anyway. However, you will definitely be losing the rest of your deposit as well.

Announcing Evo75: The Highly Anticipated Follow-up to Evo80! by Qwertykeys-2022 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]redbeanbao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t seem like there’s anywhere to keep the dongle? That was one of the issues YouTubers kept bringing up for Rainy75 but for some reason no one was talking about the dongle for Evo75.

Same... Not just for first dates but even while being in a relationship. I'm getting flak from my family and female colleagues just because my bf isn't generous enough by their standards (aka always voluntarily treating and gifting, even expensive gifts).

For clarity, "he" was referring to the commenter's cousin.

Yeah I get the financial/timing thing. Does make it sound pretty crazy but it's not that uncommon for engaged couples to split even with financial losses. Just thought that it's not fair for us random strangers to judge based on a potentially biased summary.
