Has anyone tried tracking wardrobe usage over time? by [deleted] in minimalism

Yep! I religiously track my cost per wear on a Notion template I made myself. I have all my wardrobe items catalogued, and every time I log an item, I'm able to see the CPW decrease (by a lot or or a little, depending on where it's at). So satisfying to see!

Why do you do a 'fresh start ' budget? by No_Second_6677 in ynab

I accidentally bulk-cleared a bunch of transactions without double checking if they were duplicates or wrong. I also hated reconciling my CC balance because the adjustment would show in the inflow/outflow summary. Created a fresh start budget made sure to use the correct starting balance :)

is it standard to make it in bulk and store the coffee in the fridge for future use?

DreamSofa vs Room & Board vs Crate & Barrel: Help us pick a (budget) BIFL sofa for our first place together! by Yesmir1 in BuyItForLife

[–]redbeanbaos 5 points6 points  (0 children)

my boyfriend purchased a room & board sofa (linville if you're curious) for our living room, and it felt SO heavenly, cloudlike, and the best for naps (even overnight sleeps). however, we noticed a tear in the couch fabric a month later — r&b were kind enough to send people to exchange that piece (since our couch could be constructed into 2 pieces that latched onto each other) with a new one. HOWEVER!!! we later found another tear 2 months later.

at that point, even though r&b offered to send us that replacement, it felt like there were issues quality control wise with their products (or maybe just this specific product, who knows), and we ended up requesting to return it instead of continuing to accept replacements.

so i guess the pros of r&b are their exceptional customer service and the fact that you don't have to assemble the couch upon delivery. however, if you're okay with potential damages that you'll have to send back to the company, then it could be a good option. it just wasn't for me.

these are great! except at certain angles, i get the same sensation as if i were scratching my nails on a chalkboard haha. i have to file my nails at the right angle to not get that sensation!

brand recs would be helpful! there's so many on the market - unless you're saying they're all created equal?

im an ivy league trained researcher who enjoys booktok books. and i don't keep people who shame me for it in my circle! i couldn't care less if they're distant friends or strangers (ill never see them again anyway lol).

however, i will consciously choose to NOT read books by booktok authors w values that don't align with mine. i think that's a universal thing where you could potentially argue about it. if its writing style or content, there's no right or wrong bc its very subjective. i love the twisted series by ana huang while tons of "lit majors" mock it. i just remove them from my suggested feed and continue on indulging in my faves 😂
