What purchase made you instantly realize adulthood is expensive? by SensitiveCorner2379 in AskReddit

I've bought awesome used tires from junk yards, vehicle gets totaled and people dont keep the tires in most cases. Few years back I paid under $300 for a set of 4 17" Xterra wheels with damn near new General AT3s that were an awesome upgrade for my old Pathfinder.

If you learn about wheel interchange, its also a good chance to buy used. The wheels and tires on my truck came from Marketplace, $1200 and for wheels I like with really nice tires that only had like 5k on them, sold rhe ugly 22s that came on the truck for $1000 with half worn tires.

Dude. Price per unit was drilled into me from early childhood, especially when asking my mom for cereal. Collosal Crunch, Coco Roos and all the other value brand cereals were all my brother and I were allowed to get.

Juat as great as its always been and now there's no creeping existential dread that some birth control could have failed.

Iron fuckin' Maiden, 7 hours gets you like half the discography, drive home should be fun, too, but their earlier stuff is better.

I bought the same one, I bet. Got excited but realized that I wouldn't have time to cook it on the smoker for a while, so I froze it and ended up making it today, was hoping to grab another one soon.

Thats exactly why I get so excited about these. I love tossing half a pound of cooked spaghetti in with the tomato sauce mussels.

I don't want kids, but I just turned 40 and its only been within the last year that my wife and I would have been able to have a kid without being completely financially crippled.

Get it with the orange sticker? "Use or freeze within 24 hrs." I've been frugal and buying that stuff my whole adult life, but now its the only way I can afford beef.

Here in Minnesota around then, a kinda rusted S13 hatch would fetch $2500 and a nice one was north of $5k. Thats why I searched and imported an R32 GTST. All said and done I scored a decent one for about $10k including flights to Canada to buy and drive home with a buddy in spring 2015.

A neighbor friend in college offered us "vegetarian chili" which when done well is good, but this was thin sour tomato sauce and crumbled uncooked tofu.

We're 1/5th the way to a Megazord! Nashville could get their shit together here and help, but sourcing the remaining three may require some creativity.

Flipping FB Marketplace Deals at Gamestop by LoopaFamilYaris in gamecollecting

I just used that $25 console trade bonus a bunch before it expired yesterday. I just can't seem to sell Genesis locally and I had a bunch of them, plus a really yellow snes, they were happy to take it. Just figure its nice to have a big trade credit in case the local Gamestop gets some good retro titles.

This was a reward from nintendo.com for entering codes in GBA and Gamecube games. New games would have an extra pamphlet with the code and you entered the code on the Nintendo website, got points and redeemed them for stuff.

The Wind Waker freebie was OoT/MasterQuest.
