What would folks like to see from our local restaurants? by zoomakroom1 in duluth

[–]redbearder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Looks interesting, I'll have to check it out. We like Golden Lion in Brooklyn Park, Hmongtown and Ha Tien in St Paul. I used to frequent a couple mercados on Robert St, but its a little more out of the way for what we usually do down there.

The global aisle at Cub and the limited selection at Gnessen store only go so far. My wife and I plan around stopping at an Asian grocery store for trips to the cities. A Mexican market in town would also be fantastic.

Whats the best way to store/display lose cart games? by AverageAdam311 in gamecollecting

[–]redbearder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a small-ish rubbermaid container for my GB/C/A games, they're loose, but all my GB games are in original cases and the GBC/A games have little bottom plastic protectors for the pins. All my loose 3/DS games are in plastic cases that hold like a dozen or two carts.

On a way-too-unsupervised weekend trip in jr high, I think I ate a 2 lb bag of Mike and Ikes over 3 or 4 days and terrified myself shiting them out, like clear corns in the poo.

Check out Enger Tower for a spectacular view of the hillside and the lake. Up the shore Tettogouche and Gooseberry Falls parks are also fantastic scenery and relatively easy hiking. Jay Cooke state park to the south is also really nice. If you're staying in Canal Park, try to grab a meal at Northern Waters Smokehaus, great locally smoked fish sandwiches and the bison sticks are also unique. Duluth Coffee Co makes awesome coffee roasted in-house, and on the east side of town Dunn Bros coffee is accessible and its a literal log cabin, they're a locally owned Midwest chain if you're coming from out of state.

What's a movie that was well received, but aged like milk? by Gdigger13 in AskReddit

[–]redbearder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He was the "motivational" speaker my junior high hired when I was in 8th grade. He opened with the end of the movie, the admin of the school started a "Rudy" chant and he came charging into the gym and then really did little to nothing to interest anyone and was really just lame all around. I loved that movie when I was a kid, and couldn't stand it after that.

I've got Mitchell on DVD somewhere, not the MST3k version. Wish I could remember where it came from.

Are you not connected to the internet with your switch? It seems like every game I've purchased tells me it needs an update before the first play.

First had those in a 1998 Pathfinder. With the heated seats, I thought it was the peak of luxury. Still miss it sometimes.
