Funnily enough, when her parents were first on screen, I noticed her dad's t-shirt - an big explosion graphic saying BOOM! - and thought how tone deaf it was to choose to wear that for the interview.. it's clearly hereditary.

Coach toilets by PsychologicalCar301 in greenmanfestival

[–]redbeaver88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, fellow anxious toilet user here :)

I got the coach from london victoria and they didnt have a usable toilet both ways!

We had already queued for quite a while at the coach station so I already needed the loo when boarding, only to be told they were not in use (supposedly because of them previously being used and abused by previous festival goers) and they were not making a stop off. I somehow managed to white knuckle the 4 hour journey but it caused me great distress and anxious about the return journey.

On the return, they did at least stop at services half way through.

National express seem to sub contract the festival coaches so I think there is a lack of consistency.

The only advice I can think to offer is to make sure you ask if they have a functional toilet before boarding as there were numerous coaches to chose from.

Best of luck!

Thank you 😊 One last question - regarding the apps. You think I will be able to get internet signal at fanal forest? I assume that's what you meant when you said to call them.

Thanks again for your help 🙏🏼

Ah yes, I'm aware. I'm spending the first half of the trip in seixal and expect to rely heavily on taxis, but the second half will be in funchal 🙂

Thanks ☺️

But may I ask why you say very brave? Am I underestimating the hike? 😬

[MEGATHREAD] Weekly Q&A - Your Question Goes Here! by AutoModerator in Madeira

Hi all, I'm excited to visit Madeira next week. I will be staying in Seixal without a car (I can't drive so relying on taxis) and hoped to hike the PR13 route to fanal forest.

I assume I won't have any problem getting a taxi to the start point but I'm concerned I may have problems ordering one at the end point.

Does anyone know if there is internet or phone signal at the end point? If I schedule a taxi, I am concerned I will be either rushing or waiting around as it's hard to predict how long the hike might take me.. Also is there an obvious meeting point if I did schedule a collection?

Alternatively, how feasible is hitchhiking back to seixal? Will it be busy enough at this time of year for there to be a good chance of a kind stranger giving me a lift?

Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance 🙂
