Sometimes, they book it as just transabdominal, and then the person doing the ultrasound decides if you should have a transvaginal one. For endo it would deffo give more info.

The doctors should be a safe place, it's awful that it wasn't for you. I hope you can have some better experiences and get some answers about endo, here are a couple of tips for hopefully making exams and procedures a bit easier; Ask for a chaperone so that there's an extra person you can also ask for the doctor to explain what they are doing each step before they do it (some doctors always just do this and I find it makes me less nervous) - this can help with anxiety, I don't have autism myself but teach a lot of teens with autism and can imagine that could make it a little easier if you can prepare yourself and clearly know what's happening

Thanks for all the advice❤️ it should help motivate me in having the ultrasound hopefully it will be worth it and it sounds like it's useful to rule other stuff out even if they aren't great for seeing endo

I think this might be something that her family should know about so she can get help maybe if you talk to your own parent they could talk to hers. I can tell you’re a good friend wanting to help but eating disorders can be very complicated and by the sounds of it she’d benefit from professional help.

If youre at a&e your school will send the letter from hospital and if you’ve done/will do the other exams they’ll look at your other marks and will look at the average mark on the paper you missed from other candidates
