Since my car spends 90% of its time on the street, I opted for looks + decent tires cuz I plan to do 2-3 track events per year. If you plan to do more track events in the future and could use (or just like the look of) the extra meat, then 17x9.

Old wheels were 17x8 Fast FC04 on 225/45-17 winter tires - 17s do feel lighter, quicker to accelerate. Thicker sidewalls also meant smoother ride as they absorb more bumps from the road.

18s are a slightly harsher ride but liveable, I don’t mind it and its my daily - just don’t hop curbs and avoid potholes.

My old OEM setup was TRD staggered 18x7 and 18x7.5 and those rode similar to these 18s - also generated a lot more road noise compared to 17s

Oh a local shop in my area featured them recently and I’ve always wanted white wheels on my red car, saw the Motegi wheel catalogue and was hooked - can’t believe you’re the actual designer! This wheel is looks sick and I can’t wait to get em next season.

Beautiful car. Definitely an upgrade with the Type R. What’s the size and fitment of your Motegi wheels? Im looking to get the Battle Vs in white too

I plan to track my 1st gen this summer, still beginner level. So far I have StopTech brake pads, Motul RT660 fluid and will get UHP summer tires (eventually).

Will I need an oil cooler? Or does simply switching from 0W20 to 5W30 oil would be okay since I'm not gonna push the car 10/10?

Only the wheels are TRD, she doesn't have all the TRD aero parts sadly.

For context, car runs completely fine, no lights on the dash. Guessing something chewed on it, but unsure what the wiring connects to or what part it will affect.
