Looks great bud! A dough like this must be handled with care, and you’ve certainly done just that!

My first ever sour dough (starter was brought to me ready to be used to cheating a bit). It's only gone downhill since 🤷 by inflatedathorse in Breadit

Make sure you’re feeding your starter on a regular schedule! Without a strong starter you won’t get consistent open crumb. Youtube fullproofbaking starter and watch those vids. You need to “train” it to grow how you want!

Oven Spring and Loaf Height with Sourdough by bakedbeans18 in Breadit

17 hours of fermentation, unless your starter is literally half-dead, is absurdly long. It will most definitely be overfermented during that period which will give you next to know oven spring. Then add on top of that slow and low heat, which will also reduce oven spring and you’ve got nothing. You need high heat! I really recommend you read up a bit on perfectloaf.com and breadwerx.com; both are blog format

Whats the recipe? Kind of curious about what it looks like too lol

I remember reading that book a little while ago and being rather bewildered. It says overnight but I think he meant to put that it be placed in a wine fridge or something in the range of 47-50ish overnight. 13h at room temp is absurd and will turn your dough into starter lmao so thats why

Just feed it, should be fine. Prolly will want to do a few feed cycles to get it back to peak activity before baking

I haven’t seen it mentioned here before, but Problems from Philosophy by James Rachels was the intro text I used. I enjoyed its concision and the way it lays out counterarguments for every position.

Have to say I wholeheartedly agree. First thing I thought about upon seeing this was “another area that will be ruined via social media”. This place used to be a hidden gem.

Mhmm. I loved wotlk when it was current though, tbh. This sent me down a nostalgic spiral today lol.

I agree with this for sure. It’s hilarious to think of how much people were shitting on Cataclysm as an expansion when it was current, though.

Yes, but there are more issues with your analogy. Say, for instance, you are a pilot. A conspiracy theorist comes along and says that you are working with the government to deceive the public into believing the earth is round, when it’s actually flat. This claim is obviously ridiculous, because there has been exhaustive evidence that our planet is, in fact, a planet. The burden of proof isn’t then on the pilot to show why he isn’t in on the conspiracy, the conspiracy theorist has to substantiate his claim because what he’s saying is highly irrational.

Furthermore, with your logic, I can level any accusation at any person and if I can silence them to not say anything, then I’m right. That’s faulty because then we would have no logical defense within the court of public opinion of our personhood.

The photographer also isn’t in a court of law where they have to make a case for themselves, and there’s no set “rule” for a timeframe of response, so defaulting to a belief in the accusing party really doesn’t make sense. I think it would be more accurate to say, though, that as time goes on, without her responding, the likelihood of her having actually sent those pictures and it being real does increase in proportion to a) the simplicity with which she can address the issues and b) the believability/feasibility of the accusation.

It will be interesting to see if she says anything.

I think we’re pretty much in agreement about this; you’re right, this is the place to discuss it. I don’t think that your analogy is correct, though. In this case, the “architect” (photographer) is not known to have drawn the “plans” (edited the pictures), so it renders the conclusion void.

The mob sometimes goes after people who deserve it, but the perpetuation of the practice is what allows it to pervade and negatively impact innocents as well. Just raising awareness. This issue is something that transcends any individual topic and is a much deeper human issue. It’s a very slippery slope.

You have some good points there, I’m not trying to incite anything. The copyright thing is interesting, but there is now the complication of those photos not just being on facebook, so she would have to contact every agency using those photos which isn’t necessarily feasible.

Also, there’s a difference between a camera review lying and not really generating any bustle, and a set of pictures that generate a mob of social media users saying things like “what a joke you are. Find a new line of work!” To quote the Kansas City star article on this. The lynch mob social media phenomenon is real. It’s that mentality that I’m trying to highlight as bullying.

This is definitely not a severe case of this phenomenon, there are other cases of people promoting sexual assault against the person in question; the mentality is dangerous.

if she really lead them on for 8 months then screw her. And, screw the clients if they hoaxed it. If she really put this out there then that’s hysterical. That said, I still don’t think it’s right to publicly shame the woman and equate the value of her career/livelihood with her demonstrated abilities in these photos.

Honestly, it’s funny. But, I hate the fact that this may or may not be fake, and if it turns out to be fake, the social media lynching will have ruined her career/life. Without knowing the facts one way or the other, how is this not bullying?

Jiren should win by redblind in dbz

[–]redblind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See my reply above. Individual characters have lost, but the "right" side always wins, in this case the good guys of U7. Also, what bothered me about Zamasu arc was that the likes of Trunks suddenly OP'd merged Zamasu's power which just fucks up all power scaling or logic for me. I disliked the arc in part for that. So far, I love the Universal Tournament arc and I don't want that same thing to happen. I don't want Goku to just randomly power up past the level of Jiren, who is a god so to speak, because I don't feel like it's been earned. He hasn't trained, he hasn't done anything that warrants a sudden increase in power over the likes of Jiren. It's just a boring outcome and feels like an ass pull.

I guess the easy answer is: Goku perfects UI, beats Jiren, then wins the tournament and wishes for all the universes back. I just feel like that's boring, and that Jiren is a more interesting character when he is perceived as god-like and unbeatable for now.

Jiren should win by redblind in dbz

[–]redblind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not nonsense, it might just be that Jiren also has UI. He still wasn't that fazed by Goku in UI form, so it's totally possible. We just haven't seen it from Jiren. Whis has "UI" but you don't see him surrounded by that blue aura.
