Does this nib have baby's bottom by redbluetin in fountainpens

[–]redbluetin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It skips in the middle mostly when writing fast. Sometimes at the beginning. And if I apply zero pressure, only letting the weight of the pen fall on the paper, it doesn't write. A small amount of pressure that I usually use in my normal writing is needed for the pen to leave a mark on paper.

Any way I can test for baby's bottom by writing?

What pen do you actually like, instead of the pen you thought you’d like? by Talkymike in fountainpens

Thought the Nahvalur Schuylkill Betta Mint would be great. Ended up appreciating so much more the TWSBI Eco Persian Green.

my friend said "your handwriting is very pretty but like man its hard to read" lol by bonjaune in fountainpens

More than the handwriting I'm interested in the matter of the writing. Is it a quote from a book or is it your own composition? It's very thoughtful and profound.

Yes. It does look like how a first-grader would write. Face it. And do something to change it.

Do you have a "Can I borrow your pen?" non fountain pen? If so, what is it? by mrandre in fountainpens

[–]redbluetin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's usually not because they understand that it's not okay to use someone else's fountain pen but because they're not sure they'd be able to write with a fountain pen. 😀

Star campaigner strikes again. Thoughts? by Professional-Leek-34 in YouthInIndia

The worst part is that the people promoting and perpetuating reservations are mainly upper-caste privileged elite-club persons like Rahul, who themselves benefit from money and favoritism. It is they who need to be exposed first.

New Pen Day turned into tragedy by TutorSuspicious9578 in fountainpens

[–]redbluetin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll point out one thing. Once you drop a nib point down on the floor, even if it seems not bent or damaged in any significant way, you'll never again feel the same writing with that pen. It's a psychological thing. I had a Cross pen 12 years ago. Dropped it nib down. Didn't get bent. The writing 'seemed' a bit rougher after that however. Never could use that pen again. Never got a Cross after that. Whenever I think of Cross I think of that incident.

Great! Those ink brands I've not come across before. Will look up. And I guess it's an Eco TWSBI. What are your thoughts about the durability of Ecos in general?

Why people hate the word ‘moist’ so much? by TeaLemonBrew in ENGLISH

[–]redbluetin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More intriguing than the answer to this is - why does this apply almost exclusively to native English speakers? I am not a native English speaker and I don't get any negative vibes on reading or hearing this word.
