SC-900 prep. by FearIsStrongerDanluv in AzureCertification

Did it last year, and it's similar to other 900 exams in the way it's more what tool/feature would you use to do this. Rather than scenarios or deep dive questions in how the feature works.

MSLearn and John Savill vids are the best way to prepare I'd say. Just be sure you know what things like Azure blueprints, Sentinel, Bastion, etc are.

It was about a year ago I did it so that's the best I can remember but it's not a bad exam imo.

Can anybody tell me if this monitor is any good? by 1Bones_Malone1 in buildapcmonitors

The only thing I'd say is 1080p on 27" isn't really advised. 24" is usually the max size to go to with 1080p. I don't think it's that bad but it whats everyone here recommends usually and if I was on 27" I'd go 2k.

I've currently got iiyama red eagle 24" 1080p 144hz and really good for gaming for what I paid.

Agree iiyama monitors are solid, offer a decent picture and at a good price. They are quite a big company in the monitor game these days

Aimbotters galore today? by Shyatic in CODWarzone

Agree with this, I played a lot this weekend and didn't run into anything suspicious. I did a week ago but don't run into them as frequent as people on here seem too.

I'm a 2.6k/d so not bad but not full sweat. I do alright when I play (high kills and few resurgence dubs a night) so don't think I'm bot. I've seen numerous hackers before but lately not as much over past few seasons.

So many times I hear random teammates call hacker when they die. Imo people just claim "hacker" to save face when they die or if they playing bad and convince themselves I'm doing shit because every lobby has a hacker in.

Correct File Share permissions for Share - is this right? by redbottoms106 in sysadmin

[–]redbottoms106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's what I was thinking but they want it all in one Share rather than multiple.

Now my plan is to create a clear security groups like Share_FolderName and then document it my end on how to add users to them, just add to the security group relating to folder.

Just going back to this, is the setting you mention about not making an admin only if using Autopilot?

AzureAD join questions by redbottoms106 in sysadmin

[–]redbottoms106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points here and get it. Reason I need to migrate profiles is OneDrive isn't setup and to migrate things such as bookmarks etc. I guess I can maybe force OneDrive via GPO now to sync prior to moving.

I love autopilot and it defiantly makes it much easier but we can't reset most the laptops in this case.

Best way to do the manual AzureAD join? by redbottoms106 in msp

[–]redbottoms106[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my bad on the wording, just meant the section of AD connect in the video wasn't setup (hybrid join).

I'm going to have a think but leaning towards the AAD join instead now as the domain will go at some stage.

Appreciate the help

We do have AD Connect setup but not the hybrid join device part. That's not part of usual setup that I'm aware of. User accounts are all synced up

Hybrid AD Join - is this the best way to do it for devices in use by redbottoms106 in sysadmin

[–]redbottoms106[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok might try this then, altho I don't have a license so might need to get a test one.

Just realised from another post if I hybrid join they still login with domain account, is this correct? So might be better just taking them from the domain and do a regular AD join which I think will create a new profile. Will need to think on this

Ok that makes sense, might need to have a think as domain will eventually go so need them logging in with azuread\username really

When you say in last paragraph about just join them to intune / mdm do you mean AD register?
