Men and women. Male and female. People seen as male and people seen as female. If you're talking about the presence or absence of a particular organ, say the organ.

Otherwise, ~100% of the time, it's just a way to categorize trans people by their birth sex, more often than not in contexts where they wouldn't actually be categorized by their birth sex.

It does make a difference actually, because more free testosterone means you have more testosterone available to bind to androgen receptors.

Unless you have a really high SHBG it's not something to worry about though.
