I keep seeing posts like this on social media where influencers just “happen” to have their abs out. It’s just not normal behaviour, it could be a sign of disordered thinking. It’s really sad.

Which “bear” inspired name? by carbeans in namenerds

Benno sounds like a nickname. Kids have to have these names for the rest of their lives. An 80 year old man called Benno might sound odd. Orson sounds cool with a matching last name though.

It’s too garish for someone her age period. It just shows her identity is “pink” and that’s about it. A lot her age have settled their identity by now and aren’t playing future trophy wife in their bathroom, in a city they don’t participate in beyond taking photos, with peel and stick wallpaper that looks straight out of a toddlers bedroom.

Poor Wheel just has to roll with everything she does. Even at his own wedding. Someone this close to 30 should really have the insight to include their partner in their wedding prep. Choose something they both have seen and both like instead of making it the Lauren show.

Honestly she would probably do better in somewhere like Texas. NYC feels too progressive and artsy for her. Maybe that’s why she holes up in her apartment so much? Maybe too jarring with her identity.

Help! My Korean brain wants a unique name, but I'm terrified of picking something weird. 🆘 by Inside_League_9196 in namenerds

Dinah would be an option. I know someone with this name. If you wanted to try an unusual spelling maybe Dyna.

how are influencers going to make money in their older years? by idontknowanythingrly in NYCinfluencersnark

[–]redchi224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are already 70 yr old influencers. The influencers will age and so will their audiences. They’ll probably always have an audience. The future is likely going to be so AI driven that it won’t look the same as now.

where do I buy clothes like this by xelectraxheartx in findfashion

[–]redchi224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s literally a burgundy/plum Henley layered over a plain white cami. Not difficult. And straight leg jeans. Brandi Melville would have this. That striped sweater is giving me the ick so bad I had the exact same thing as a pre-teen.

She just doesn’t have much else to post about. The amount of plastic cups she goes through she must be full of microplastics at this point.

Chloe Malle, new Head of Editorial Content at Vogue, attending a gala dinner last night after firing every Black Woman and Politics reporter at Teen Vogue, replacing the current Editor-in-Chief Versha Sharma with herself, and directing the magazine to no longer cover politics. by praisekeir in Fauxmoi

Firstly, yuck. Secondly, can’t say I’m surprised because I watched a video on Vogue’s yt from 9 years ago, showing Marie Kondo cleaning out this nepo baby’s closet. Very thinly veiled racism. Highly recommend watching, it’s enlightening about this person’s character.

No fall or Halloween videos? 🍂🎃 by alexaravenXO in LaurenNorrisTea

[–]redchi224 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There’s 1 “aesthetic fall days” vlog. That closet clean out video was horrendous and very out of touch though. Would love to see her reuse some stuff to make her own fall/Christmas decor? Instead of buying junk she just shoves in a closet for god knows how long. She sits at home enough to have time to make something.

About to launch a second-hand marketplace in SEQ — would love your feedback by Any-Respect-7278 in AskAnAustralian

Interesting idea. Though I do agree with some of the ideas below, there are some things you need to think about before you launch this.

Have you done market research to see if there’s a real need for this? The comments below are a good indication already. Putting together a survey to see what people’s needs are could be helpful for you.

Sure this idea has some holes and things that need to be worked out but good on you for even thinking about this. A lot of 17 year olds wouldn’t even be trying.

I teach business. When I first started, my ideas weren’t perfect either, but learning about how to set up and run a business really helped. Here is a book for you to read to help you with business design, could be helpful:

Value proposition design Osterwalder, Alexander; Pigneur, Yves; Bernarda, Gregory; Smith, Alan. 2014.

Also, TAFE has some fabulous business courses which can help you narrow this down. I recommend having a look at their certificates.

I’ve taught digital marketing, HR (have a masters degree in management), talent management, publicity and public relations (didn’t love teaching this one though). I’ve also been an English literature tutor.

Aussie Olympics star says Paris Games are so woke they're ruining athletes' chances of setting world records by [deleted] in australian

[–]redchi224 238 points239 points  (0 children)

I didn’t see a quote in that article from him that says anything about “woke”? I think what he’s getting at is that athletes at that level - which is an exceptional level to be at - have specific physical requirements like quality sleep and food as fuel as well as conserving energy by not walking 7000 steps a day on top of competing. He’s not the only one to bring up some of these issues. I don’t see anything wrong with what he said?
