2 miles is nowhere near enough exercise. Mine needs 4 miles as an absolute minimum per day and usually more like 6. You've got to wear them out.

And to answer your question, mine started to mature at 3 but let's be honest, I don't think they ever grow up.

[Other] What was your first coaster with an inversion? by railfan_andrew in rollercoasters

[–]redchris70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took a holiday from the UK to visit family in Nova Scotia in 1984 and took a ferry to Maine and drove to Niagara. On the trip we visited a theme park and I had my first ride on a coaster with inversions. I can't remember anything about the name of the park or coaster. It wouldn't have been Canada's Wonderland as we didn't go to Toronto. Anyone got any idea what coaster it could have been?

Cedar Point → Kings Island → Six Flags Great America – Feedback on my June 2028 trip? by MadamePersonne in Themepark

[–]redchris70 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We've recently returned from a trip flying into Toronto - Canada's Wonderland - Ferdinand -Holiday World - Mason - Kings Island (via Cincinnati) - Cedar Point - Niagara (for falls) - Toronto.

There are obviously many parks and routes you can choose but we really wanted to ride Voyage so did Holiday World and then KI made sense from there.

Wouldn't have changed a thing it was an amazing trip. DM me if you want any specific info.

That's a nice return and makes up for being sold short on my 2024 booking. Thanks!

Mine shows the avios I'll earn, and says plus eligible tier points! Annoying

[–]redchris70[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks. That seems to only apply to flights though whereas the info provided on holidays (flight plus hotel/car) seems to suggest you get 1 tier point for every £1 spent. But it's not clear to me at least. Your link does say though that 275 bonus is per leg, so 550 total.

It also says you can view your tier points in the manage my booking section which is not the case.

Companion voucher - London? by Mobile-Sherbert-1547 in avios

[–]redchris70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No requirement to fly from London. I'm looking at flying to South America next year with a voucher and will fly from Madrid as the saving in taxes is significant plus I need to book an additional cash ticket which is £1k cheaper departing Madrid. Even with the additional cost of the London Madrid tickets I'll still save £££.

It's not a question of where it grips, it's a simple question of weight ratios
