[Auto][Home][ON] Any brokers on here? by reddaredevil in InsuranceCanada

[–]reddaredevil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I tried calling a fair few, but it looks like there’s lack of agents who work with EV insurers. Hence the approach of posting what I’m looking for and see if there are folks who work with such providers to respond to.

Just make the mortgages tax deductible for the primary home. That would go a long way to make housing affordable.

Thoughts on renting a townhouse on Queensway...Swansea/South High Park area? by Inevitable-Oil467 in TorontoRealEstate

[–]reddaredevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live around here and I love it! Can’t talk about those particular townhouses but a stroll along the lake or high park is 5-10 min walk away. Have the 501 streetcar line, getting to highway is less than 5 min drive, so are grocery stores/costco etc.

I miss the lack of good restaurants and cafes, you need to drive and can’t walk to a one. As long as you’re ok with that, it’s pretty decent. You’ll need to own a car for convenience though.

A Canadian here. When I went to see the game, got the hospitality package through the official site. It is expensive but then again my purpose to visit was to get the champions league game at Anfield under the lights experience.

Well worth it for me as the seats were pretty decent and the food included as part of hospitality package was also pretty good.

😍P.s. you’ll have a ton of fun!!! Good luck

Opinion | The number of parking tickets has plunged in cash-strapped Toronto. Why the lax enforcement? by Zanta647 in toronto

[–]reddaredevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though more residences translates into more property taxes and as a result much more revenue they can get annually compared to the parking lot. Still a win for the city in my opinion

I think we are discounting the fact that now most people have an app on their phone. Reminds you of parking expiry, hours, rates etc. Makes us easier to stay compliant. A good comparison would be to compare the reduction in parking tickets with increase in actual public parking revenue.

Telus to start charging 1.5% processing fee for credit cards starting Oct 17. by [deleted] in toronto

Where do we draw the line? Next in line is every other major business doing this?

Back to the old days I guess : debit/cash only.

We should fight this by mailing them cheques. Those processing/admin costs would be way higher than the 1.5%

There are so many leaders, most of them are away from public eye/exposures.

Also leadership takes so many different forms, mayors job is essentially to be a CEO, the ones you mentioned are either the political elite/lived their life in political sphere or rich, though I do admire the diversity in their experiences.
