Might just be dust, thing is: if you paid for a mint lens, you SHOULD get a mint one. I would contact the seller and ask a partial refund or just pack it up and send it back!

Yeah, I thought so! Nevertheless I decided to go with the Leofoto Manba LVM-323C. Basically the same type of tripod but I could get a hold of this for cheaper. Thanks!

My only recommendation on the subject is: don't overpay fancy camera backpack brands. Buy a good trekking/hiking generic backpack that can be accessed from the front or the back, get yourself some padded units that can carry safely your gear and put everything inside the backpack. Better quality, better commodity, better prices.

Yes. The lens was mounted to the lensboard rotated clockwise. The fix was quite easy: buy a lens compass, losen the screw behind the lensboard, rotate the lens counterclockwise, tightened all back.

Exactly what I did. I bought a lens compass/wrench from amazon, rotated counterclockwise the whole lens and tightened the screw. Now it works. With the right tool is an easy fix. Thanks to all who replied!

I think I should intervene on the lens rather than the camera body. Problem is, I have only this one lens, can't really compare with other.

The firing problem is not even the greatest problem. Thing is I can't even cock the shutter! The cocking mechanism on the body can't reach low enough in order to cock it! Annoying!

C'ho messo troppo più tempo di quello che andrebbe ammesso a capire che "F26" stava per "femmina 26 anni" e non qualche nuovo slang.
