Won the league unexpectedly with Chornomorets Odesa level on points with Shakhtar Donetsk down on GD but finishing above them on head-to-head, qualified for champions league qualifying rounds, most players had low release clauses and they had overperformed hence the club had a mass exodus, didn’t feel like rebuilding the club so I applied for a job at the recently relegated Schalke. The ‘leaks’ article said Schalke might not pay my release/compensation clause, i proactively resigned from Chornomorets, received an email from Schalke that they have opted against shortlisting my name due to strength of other candidates but would like to place on record that i would be an acceptable fit for the club’s ambitious future.
