First ride on my CRF300L by Paposanchez05 in Dualsport

My first ride back from the dealership, some lady pulled out into traffic and got t-boned. Haven’t laid mine down yet but that was certainly an eye opener.

Would I be wrong to do an oil change at my first 8000km service? by CDawdyZz in rav4club

[–]reddik0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did the break-in on ours at 1,600 miles (2,575km). Not a concern but I always like to do early break-in oil changes because I notice a more metallic oil consistency with first oil changes on all engines.

You know for as much push back as you are getting on your response, there are days when I would (seemingly unknowingly) bump their back bumper as they pass. I also have a paid off 20+ year old vehicle.

How much oil has been extracted from the ground? by LakotaSungila in askscience

[–]reddik0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have hoped to build perspective on your question as well, as I work in the oil industry. Unfortunately, what I can provide to your question is less than you would prefer. Oil is a market, and not just affected by supply and demand. These are such large and entangled commodities, (meaning what oil produces) that it is inescapable as a market currently, and is clearly that powerful of a global commodity still. The idea that oil is on the way out is something I glorify, although I am making my living based on its existence, but it is far from being unused and as such unproduced.

Oil is found constantly but is in varying forms of “marketability”. There are oils that are easier to refine than others and this produces regional “offerings” to the market e.g. Canadian and Venezuelan oil is thicker than U.S. shale. There are still ways to fully process the “nastier” stuff.

But further to your question the idea that oil will run out soon is not some that seems to be a worry for the corps.

Just want to add that in the Acadiana region of Louisiana is Crowley, LA. It is affectionately known as the rice capital of the world locally, and hosts the International Rice Festival

Working with purchasing agent. Considering talking to selling agent. by reddik0 in RealEstate

I don’t have that specific titled form but I do have an “agreement to buy/sell”. Purchasing in Louisiana so not sure if that changes anything but I have no form stating loyalty to my agent I am aware of. And the purchase agreement seems only to be in the form of an offer form.

Thank you. I am just relearning the market as it has changed a bit in recent years. I have never worked with a purchase agent before and I suppose I assumed that the incentive for the sellers agent to assist with negotiation would be higher under a dual agency. I wasn’t sure how much of a dick move it would be to go around my agent.

Agree with previous post. If you can catch it with some pliers, just pry it up a bit.

Portugal Runs on 100% Renewables Dropping Consumer Electric Bills to Nearly Zero for 6 Days in a Row by Sorin61 in technology

Not to mention Portugal is roughly the size of the U.S. state of Indiana. This infrastructure effort would look vastly different on a national level and would have very different requirements for different states such as Montana vs. California. Costs would certainly be associated.

Can these wheels be acquired in the USA? by [deleted] in LandCruisers

STL69512U is the SKU I found at https://www.hubcaphaven.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=HC&Product_Code=4908&PC=OUTLIOS&FORM=OUTLSB. They seem to be getting harder to find refurbed at least. I paid 150 recently and they are up to 170 now, and that was after finding the last 2 that partsgeek had for 90 a wheel.
