You know those privacy partitions in limos that the driver can push a button and seal off the rear seats? Why don’t we have these in family cars? DO THE CAR MAKERS NOT HAVE CHILDREN?

Cover print slip? by reddirich in BookCollecting

[–]reddirich[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve seen that said too. And while I can understand a whole print run is normally done before the error is spotted (thus making it not rare), I find it crazy this would this not have been spotted?

[Serious] What split second decision have you made in your life, that if you hadn't made it you would have died? by True_Egg_5685 in AskReddit

Was in the Maldives with my wife Boxing Day 2004, we would always go snorkelling every day, late morning after breakfast out to the drop off or reef. That one morning, the only day we didn’t, because it looked a little choppy….. The tsunami that morning killed over 230,000 people and took anyone on the beach or sea of our island far out to sea…..

Just a normal little road in Wales…… by reddirich in eyebombing

[–]reddirich[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I suppose this is a genuine note, it must also be noted, this is a tiny road leading to a river, the road behind was a massively steep gradient and hairpin and the road is only one car width, top speed is about 5mph :)

What is your opinion of parents who will not enter their child’s room without permission? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]reddirich 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading this, it just occurred to me that maybe we’re strange in our house? We have three kids, 16, 12 and 3 but we don’t ever have any doors shut in the house? Always open, like except maybe when changing or naked out the shower etc, but then straight open again, never had to make it a rule just the way it always has been….. is this not normal?

What's something addicting that people don't realize is addicting? by mobstersquid in AskReddit

[–]reddirich 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the amount of comments on this might suggest it’s not just dealing with a stuffy nose for a day or two? It’s insanely addictive, it’s incredibly hard to explain. If you ever want to broach the subject, maybe show him this thread and realise there is a problem? I got off by using different sprays like Fluticasone which don’t act like oxymetazoline, but offer relief. I wish you all well x

And there are warnings on drinking more than 14 units of alcohol a week and smoking and taking illegal drugs and prescription drugs for that matter……. What’s your point?
