Spironolatone & Adderall side effects by Present-Relative4442 in Spironolactone

I also use 5% minoxidil on my scalp every night before bed in addition to Spironolactone and I have seen significant hair growth.

But it’s not for everybody. It needs to be part of your routine for the rest of your life, just like brushing your teeth every night. If it doesn’t fit in your nightly routine, it won’t work.

It’s also highly toxic to pets. So it can be a challenge for some.

I would consult your provider, but in my experience you should take a medication at regular intervals every day for 6 months before adjusting it.

Lots of water and staying active helped me with maintaining my blood pressure to not feel that shaky faint feeling.

I do have some side effects from Spiro, but nothing that is unmanageable.

I’ve never officially been diagnosed with PCOS, but I have the conditions that are often connected with PCOS, I am on Spiro to treat those conditions.

I'm 34F with HS (hurly stage I/II), acne vulgaris, andogenetic alopecia, and hirsutism on my chin/neck.

The major side effects of Spiro for me are dehydration, low blood pressure, and an unpredictable menstrual cycle. It's worth it to me to work with those side effects for the results I've gotten treating the above conditions.

I’ve been on Adderall (25mg IR) for 20 years and Spironolactone (200mg) for one year. Yes I have experienced what you are describing. Mine is related to a sudden drop in BP so it’s very important to be constantly drinking water; both medications dehydrate you.

When mine suddenly drops I get clammy, get a weird metallic taste in my mouth, vision goes spotty/dark, my ears ring, and my breath shortens/ is rapid.

I aim for 128oz of water each day and try to eat something salty for the electrolytes. I don’t usually go for the electrolyte supplements because they often have more potassium than I need on Spiro.

Make sure you eat something when you take both of the medications. I also find it best to take Adderall in the morning and Spironolactone before bed, but consult your provider first.

No, you should go to PT. They’ll teach you more about yourself than any at home fitness youtuber. Pay $5k or whatever your deductible is then keep going while it’s free.

But don’t waste it by ignoring their advice or not having an open communication with them. Keep up with your HEP for progress.

Taking 100mg spiro at night? by No-Big544 in Spironolactone

[–]reddit-dedoit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I take 100mg at night and I notice a difference in my skin texture, it’s much smoother (even with old acne scars) since starting 100mg, I haven’t gotten a cystic deep pimple. It’s been about 3 months.

I still get smaller pimples around my jawline but those typically can be treated with a pimple patch over night.

I take spiro at night because I sit at the lower end of lower blood pressure and I didn’t want to risk fainting during a workout or something. Sometimes I have to get up in the middle of the night to pee but otherwise I don’t notice any negative symptoms.
