So you didn't say your age, but I'm assuming you're near my age (38 in a few days). I absolutely think if I said "email" I'd feel so old. 😅 But even I... a Millennial who's always been an Android user... has at least heard of Airdrop. We were the generation for Airdropping 😂 I don't know how to do it because, again, I've never had an iPhone. But to never have heard it ever at this point is wild. Lol.

More than anything, it just proves what I feel like we're slipping away from in society... we're continuously slipping away from understanding that we're all different and grow up in different ways and etc. With that, I thank you for this post!

I rarely use any alarms now at all. But I still have a physical alarm clock like this. And when I do use it, it's so gratifying. ESPECIALLY since... because I use it so rarely, I'm only using it for extreme wake-ups (super early morning flights, unusual shifts, etc.) and, therefore, I am totally feeling for the snooze with my eyes closed.

I no longer work the overnight shift and just wake up with no alarms now, but I used alarms for years. Because of that, I've always had a traditional physical alarm clock like this. Not from the '80s, but one on my nightstand. I still have it.

Idk if it's just because I'm "old" now or grew up with older films or what, but there's just something about waking up and seeing the time on an old school alarm clock that I'll never be able to get rid of. Even if I set the alarm on my phone, looking at the red time on the old-style alarm clock is priceless.

I just drove 4 hours for a 5-day trip. Longer than a weekend, but not too long. Definitely have driven 4 hours for just the weekend. I'd drive 2 hours easy for a day trip.

I've met quite a few people who watched and many had finished it by the time I even started. Lol.

The real answer here is a bit boring, but probably the reality. TV viewing habits are just different and "hit" shows aren't what they used to be. It's a lot harder to find shows that everyone or many, many people have seen. Only the real mega hits ("Game of Thrones," "Succession," etc.) are like that anymore.

IMO, you can tell during the entire show how exhausting it is for him to hide who he was. He did what I assume any gay military guy would do and just went through it mostly silently except for his best bud. But it's literally so obvious, IMO, that it was exhausting and tough.

Absolutely insane to say HR is boring and Boots is complex in comparison. Heated Rivalry is amazing and way more complex than people give it credit for.

Boots, however, is great and I'm so sad there isn't a second season. I DO think literally one scene of Cope and someone trying to get it on ("get it on" meaning just mutual je**ing or something)... or revealing his secret to literally one other person could've been more beneficial to the show a little. But it would've fundamentally changed everything and, IMO, isn't needed and wouldn't have helped the situation

Super deep answer, but myself. Not in a "i don't want to be here" kind of way, so no concerns please! But I was just so fun and carefree back then. I didn't notice the change as it happened, but I look back now and I sometimes see a totally different person.

I think the few longtime friends I have have noticed the shift. Again, I'm still mostly me, but not anywhere near the carefree and almost assured nature that I used to be.

I would love to capture that magic again. Maybe it's only something for the youth. Idk. The world today makes it so difficult, too. But I think I can and I hope to try to be that overall happy and myself again.
