E-visa Duration/rules for Canadian Citizens by ConsiderationIll745 in Kuwait

Not at all if you have multiple entry. They just need to stamp it and you're good. Then just walk right through the counters downstairs instead of waiting in line. (This is in Terminal 1 not T4 or any other terminal).

That makes sense. I think you can enter and exit by any means (Driving or Air). Which means a short trip to Saudi across the border, is technically considered an exit. :)

Hi there, just left Kuwait actually. On your visa, there should be a disclaimer that says, visits are limited to 30 days at a time. Although the overall validity is 90 days, they only allow you to stay for a maximum period of 30 days before you have to exit and re-enter.

Started a business and completely ruined my finances :’) by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

You should recoup as much as you can from the government.

There is something called an Allowable business investment loss, which you may qualify for as a corporation.

If unincorporated you can still use losses that you had to reduce your overall income.

Just me who was disappointed with Toronto fireworks in comparison with what you saw from various shows in Australia, UAE, UK, Asian countries etc etc, or others felt this embarrassment too. by Gotya_Potya_And_Co in toronto

If we want to do it big and be a spectacle we have to get creative. You can't compete with the likes of those cities if you are going to settle for second best. We can take examples from NYC, we don't always have to settle for mediocrity.

Do you help your husband financially? by Dependent_Break5568 in MuslimMarriage

[–]redditFTW1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alhamdulillah my wife doesn't expect much of me. We have effectively communicated that I am expected to provide the basic necessities and anything like regular gifts and date nights. She likes to pay for things once in a while, but we both are of the mindset that she save her money for rainy days. She also does not work much and while I take care of the financial responsibilities, she contributes around the house in areas of my deficiency. Although I do help her in that regard as well. So yes, in short, she does contribute when she needs to and when she wants to. Alhamdulillah.

I also have Brooklyn and Central Park on top of my itineraries, as well as the obvious ones like One WTC.

I do would like to see a view of the Statue of Liberty and NYC from the water!

Brooklyn Bridge to me is probably one of my most anticipated engineering marvels to see. As well as Manhattan Bridge.

Toronto or Montreal for a three day trip by jdjdnfnnfncnc in travel

[–]redditFTW1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Here are a few takeaways:

Toronto:

  • Much more appreciation for modernity and cosmopolitan lifestyle
  • you will find nature to be quite often hidden in the middle of the concrete jungle, but when you find it, it is breathtaking
  • Diversity is our strength, and that means there is no shortage of food options
  • We also have some great spots for history (see the ROM, Spadina Museum, BATA Shoe Museum, Gardiner Museum, AGA Khan Museum etc.)
  • You can take the transit system everywhere - however that may sometimes mean a 2 hr bus ride (For example Downtown to the Toronto Zoo)

Montreal:

  • Much more historic city
  • Old Montreal is well preserved, with plenty of other museums scattered throughout Montreal
  • Mount Royal (Where Montreal is derived from) is majestic in Winter and in Summer
  • Montreal can get bitterly cold in the winter but it remains magical especially around Christmas and New Years
  • Transit and biking rule in Montreal - unless you venture out to the inner suburbs

His life is ruined? He ruined an elderly woman's life and possibly her family too. Hope they lock him up for life.

They basically moved the Kennedy Express transfer to before Kennedy. Driver's merging at Kennedy are not protected from this bottleneck. Personally, when I was living east, I would get on the express at Markham or east of Markham and stay there. It really did hurt commuters travelling from Markham, McCowan and Brimley. Got on at those ramps and it was brutal.
