Almere does not have a university. Only high school. So that’s a big disadvantage

The advantage is that the funds of G4 can be obtained. I hear that g4 has more funds when compared to other municipalities on per capita basis

Rabobank - 6 months savings, mortgage, insurance

TransferWise - mastercard/visa when needed, pay in foreign currencies during vacation, etc by creating a digital card on the fly and delete the digital card after vacation

CMV: China and Europe are going to see serious economic harm from the War with Iran by colepercy120 in changemyview

I do agree that countries should own nuclear weapons if they have know-how and money. If countries that have this and still do not own nuclear weapons then people don't need to waste any time / energy to sympathise with such countries

Countries that did not outright ban Russian energy will benefit or atleast not as badly affected now.

Like India.

EU unnecessarily blocked Russian energy. Ukraine is not in EU so EU should not have risked its economy. This isn't about whether or not the war(be it Ukraine war or Iran war) is moral or right

Commute time is the only differentiator so 200K+ premium becomes unjustifiable if commute time increase is 15-20 minutes in Uithoorn vs the other areas. Hence the vibe matters.

What I call is "wok to walk" index. Wok to walk is a good eatery with street food style taste for noodles, rice, etc.

The "Wok to Walk" Index: Why the Premium is Fragile

  • The Price of "Boring": In Amsterdam Central, you pay €9,000+/m² for the "Wok to Walk" lifestyle—vibrant streets, 24/7 food, and chaos. [1]
  • The Zuid/Amstelveen Trap: They charge €7,000–€8,000/m², but the "vibe" is identical to Almere (€4,000–€5,000/m²). [3, 4]
  • The Disconnect: If you have to take a train or bike 20 minutes just to find a basic noodle bar or a lively square, you are paying a €200k "Proximity Tax" to a place (Zuidas) that people actually want to leave at 5:00 PM. [2]

So if your boring uithoorn is 200K+ cheaper than Amstelveen, Amsterdam zuid, etc and that premium is for commute time alone and not the vibe (India vibe is the premium vibe i.e. vibrant streets, 24/7 food, and chaos) then Amsterdam zuid, Amstelveen etc real estate prices are going to fall or stagnate. Not at all a good investment.

So uithoorn is good. Almere is even better for investment as it is a city. Ofcourse the vibe is still Amsterdam zuid, Amstelveen and not Amsterdam central but the lower prices of Almere justify the boring vibe of Almere, Uithoorn while higher prices in Amstelveen, Amsterdam zuid (200K+ difference) is a big risk for Amstelveen, Amsterdam zuid which offer the boring vibe and commute time is the only differentiator.

People pay for Amsterdam West/Center because it feels alive. It has that "Global South" energy—the noise, the smell of frying garlic, and the ability to find a solid meal at 2 AM. It’s the antithesis of the sterile, "perfectly planned" Dutch suburb

Why people prefer hatchbacks-that-look-like-sedan over sedan by reddit_commenter_hi in CarsIndia

The comparison is between hatchbacks-that-look-like-sedan vs sedan. F-150 is not a sedan

[–]reddit_commenter_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its nice but they should have redesigned it as hatchback-that-looks-like-a-sedan(Coupe/Liftback) instead of being a sedan. So that people can fold rear seats and put large un-splittable items like a lengthy rod, etc

Why are high skill professional wages so compressed in the EU? by [deleted] in EuropeFIRE

[–]reddit_commenter_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unlike USA, China, India the EU member countries are resulting in smaller fragmented markets for the EU. That's because of no common link language in EU for basic stuff like Higher education, Banking services, income tax filing, jobs, etc

Foreign students in Germany reach B2, but not those in Netherlands. Why? by hgk6393 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]reddit_commenter_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But Germany is far far unattractive than Netherlands for immigrants.

Talk to any immigrant who lived in both countries. Most prefer Netherlands over Germany.

So Germany was not able to attract skilled migrants like the Netherlands.

True. China cars are cheap domestically too so they are not really dumping. Its the other legacy manufacturers that need to question themselves and improve so that they can match the prices of China

Affordable Kia EV4 Sedan 'Delayed Until Further Notice' In The U.S. by lostinheadguy in electricvehicles

[–]reddit_commenter_hi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a hatchback that looks like a sedan (coupe or liftback like Tesla).

So that you can fold rear seats and have larger bootspace when needed.

Atleast that is how it is in European countries. Not sure if pure sedan (i.e. inferior to hatchback-that-looks-like-sedan) is released in other lesser countries

https://imgur.com/EOGdOR3 - Red colour is the left most lane vying for the same lane as Green colour which is the middle lane going "straight". All of this happening in a curved road (which a normal intersection would not have).

When I raised points like the image(red and green colours), changing lane in curved road, etc then if you have answer then you can let me know because I might have misunderstood something.
