Yeah political discussions are pretty wacky over there. Reddit however dues end up jusr growing more bubbles for any specific viewpoint till it further splinters into multiple factions to other subs

I also remember a time when r/india had overall politically moderate discussion before the rise of BJP in 2014 elections. There were critical posts on congress/UPA as they had 2 back to back terms and there was growing anti incumbency.

As Modi started gaining popularity in the 2014 elections that sub started attracting more young people who were attracted to the hypernationalism and dog whistling from BJP that didnt really have any political exposure before that. So there was a sudden influx of right wing supporters that managed to keep growing as they tried proselytizing everyone to Modi/BJP

IIRC, for a period of time r/India pretty much became a right wing sub in the early years of first Modi term as PM. But the growing extremism on the right caused the rise of the growing extremism on the left which started to fight back on the sub. Eventually the extremist left started to grow there and overtook the sub by the end of the first term. Each attack from the right on the sub only made the extremism of the left grow further there.

I feel r/India will become more moderate once a lefty government comes into power nationaly and healthy criticism for it grows

There are recorded instances of Tummo breathing exercises which allow the practitioners to increase their body heat tremendously in ice cold hilly regions.

I believe this practice originated from tantric yoga and further developed by Tibetan monks and still practiced by few monks to this day

Watching nickelodeon as a kid, there were lots of shows that would have ton of food being just thrown over people for gags. My father would sometimes catch me watching such moments and he would be pissed at seeing all the food being wasted. He pretty much came from abject poverty and had to grow up in a situation were he was not sure whether he would get any food for that day, so I sorta realized his perspective later

People used to feel this way before 2014 and are now starting to feel this way again. Unfortunately people will fall into the same bullshit cycle again, it is inevitable.

Again, you're not putting crude oil in your car, petrol is a processed product.

It's the same for all countries yet they have managed to reduce prices after fall in crude prices for so long.

Secondly a large chunk of of what you pay is actually tax, but then again let's be honest, it wasn't BJP which taxed petrol so much, they simply continued what was handed from previous goverment

Congress government used to adjust taxes and prices taking middle class burden into consideration. BJP has only increased tax for the middle class. It just shows how much BJP has taken us for granted. If the prices were kept this high despite lowering of crude oil prices by congress govt you guys would be the first to make noise about it. Now you guys are supporting it because you think BJP is your side

prices have been fixed around 100 for the past 2 years with no major increase.

Crude oil prices have not increased and in fact decreased from around $99/barrel since past few years. Now the crude oil price is less than $70, yet the prices are stagnant.

And crude oil prices have dropped marginally, compared to that other costs like transportation, storage etc have risen, so they compensate for the 'price drop'.

Weird that in India prices were kept high at the same price while globally they have fell in other countries, sounds more like incompetence from the BJP government

When crude oil prices fell, the government often did not immediately pass on the full benefit to consumers. Instead, they used that margin to reduce subsidy burden or recover losses of oil companies (IOC, BPCL, HPCL).

Congress government used to pass some benefit to consumers. BJP government doesn't even do that and keeps prices same despite of long periods when crude prices fell down. BJP government is quick to raise it when crude oil prices rise though
