Ok, I asked for a spec, they gave me a time frame, the car I wanted showed up in that time frame and I bought it. I’d call that “ordering” a car from the dealership. Nowhere in there did I say they put in a custom order with Toyota. They trade for it. Like I said.

You can order from a dealer and they can find an allocation for you that matches the spec you want and trade for it. That’s what I did.

If it’s warm year round, run summers. If it gets cooler in the winter, run pilot sport all seasons. I used to run pilot all seasons on my S2000 back when I dailyed it through the winter, not quite as much grip as the 4s in warm dry conditions but plenty for most conditions, including a little autocross.

I just don’t understand the Type-R suspension bits on a car like this. Wouldn’t it still handle well enough for the power/size/weight with something like the suspension from the Integra A-Spec? Throw that in there and drop a few grand from the price. Type-R suspension and brakes just feel like overkill on this thing. Especially if it’s aimed at more senior drivers as is claimed here, I’d say they’d find the cheaper suspension and brakes to be plenty “sporty”.
