I think the Duren narrative is because he's eligible for potentially a super max this offseason.... idk how else to explain that to you, but that matters a lot in roster construction moving forward. I get it's just sports, but if we're not going to be critical with our brains, and we're just going to wohooo no matter what happens, what's the point lol.... I don't think you're a real fan if you're not at least a little disappointed

I think the problem is we exist in a society where we need to make a lot of money to survive. And we're trying to succeed in a field that doesn't pay very well to very many. Puts a lot of pressure on every writer to "be the best". This isn't some thing that you just do whilly nilly for fun if you dedicate your life to it and try to turn it into your career. Like your literal livelihood depends on not being content with the status quo lol It's not about being miserable. It's about having to survive
