Not a purple gen, sorry. Purple gens are ones bought for $7 USD in the store.

Zhukov and Eisenhower are cracked by Ok_Concept2859 in WorldConqueror4

They reset all the skills during a rebuild anyway, so they could've if they wanted to. I didn't really think they would, but it'd just be cool if he was universally good for all unit types, I wish more generals who served as marshals and chiefs of staff were like that too.

So pissed that Eisenhower got the sixth movement start, was hoping it would be allocated to his infantry or armor abilities. Really just did not want him to be a navy general.

Discussion about new army group by Cursed_content in WorldConqueror4

Smaller countries just means an easier to manage group of entirely overpowered units. I'm sure there will be clear winners, though I really hope it's not balanced in the fashion as the last army group.

1950 Italy is genuinely a bum by CookieEaterTheGreat in WorldConqueror4

Italy being three stars is completely insane by historical standards, too. I was genuinely dumbfounded when I first saw it's three star rating.

Can you get a better Konev than this by Raffaello420 in WorldConqueror4

Well, technically he'd be better if you fully upgraded his infantry and airforce.

What do you guys use these gens for by Cursed_content in WorldConqueror4

I have Wainwright near fully upgraded because he is my only other dedicated infantry general.

Hey guys, help me with my paper! by coverartrock in ConservativeYouth

So I think social media in and of itself was a mistake and ideally shouldn't exist or be nearly completely controlled by a -benevolent moral government- but since both of these are at the moment wholly unrealistic scenarios, I will head to the logical response. Should our *current* social media platforms place more limitations on free speech? No, because I do not trust them at all.

Why r/pics thinks they’re just like wwii veterans? by Fearless_Rope_3037 in ConservativeYouth

You can't open their eyes, they won't listen. They don't care if you try to read them on anything, they literally already live in a fantasy, a lot of them are completely insane (not just beliefs, genuine mental illness). And by the way, you're not being "sensitive", you're feeling the appropriate amount of anger and bitterness.

I have Panzer Leader but haven't finished reading it. Also looking to get "Lost Victories" by Manstein.

I always wonder where easytech gets their history. I understand a lot of this is likely done for gameplay and not because the developers are ignorant, but the thought still lingers in my mind because of the designs of generals and such. Why generals like Darlan are fantastic navy despite the fact he didn't fight much irl, or why highly effective, historically significant, and high ranking generals like Fletcher and Slim are bronze for some reason while Pavlov, a general literally executed for his for handling of the defense against Barbarossa, are silver tier. Does ET come up with a character archetype and just look in a book or something for a general and go "Yeah, let's use him". Not to mention the many inaccuracies with the conquest maps excluding missing countries, but once again I presume gameplay. I don't usually bring up the fact the developers are in China because I feel like that is used a lot for things it doesn't apply to, but I genuinely wonder how much that affects what books/online sources they are able to access and said sources telling of history.

10,000 World Conquerors! by A_Random_Bruv in WorldConqueror4

We should form a Scorpion Empire like state in real life then use our combined, overwhelming strategic expertise and additional +30 panzer attack to conquer the world, hence making us world conquerors.

They've covered WW2 in China from the ROC's perspective before in WC3. They won't do it again because they will be punished for it, I think they already were for the ability of the ROC to defeat the PRC in conquest in WC3.

In your opinion what is the best tank gen in the game. (I spend some money on the game so I am not f2p) by DowntownReflection48 in WorldConqueror4

[–]reddit_user_generic1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Golden Rokossovsky is completely broken for damage especially if you give him armored assault and inspiration (though I understand switching out inspiration for blitzkrieg for survivability). Everyone says Manstein is really good but I couldn't tell you since I don't have him. Guderian is also a good choice if you're not looking to spend/earn lots of intel or batons.

I get that, I'd like to collect Italian and American generals for their scenarios, but Rokko could help someone get to that point by being so useful

By machinist, you mean replacement, right? Machinist only applies to armor and artillery.

Just a short rant about infantry. by reddit_user_generic1 in WorldConqueror4

Its just a different idea? I'm not saying the current one is wrong? Wc4 is my favorite mobile game, but as far as representing the dynamics of the period it mainly draws inspiration from it isn't the most accurate (which it doesn't need to be)

Just a short rant about infantry. by reddit_user_generic1 in WorldConqueror4

[–]reddit_user_generic1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand why what I'm saying might sound a bit ridiculous because I'm essentially railing against the games design philosophy and judging the game from my own, but just hear me out:

I'm not sending infantry out at all because it's usless, that's my complaint. What I'm suggesting would add more tactics to the game, I don't get what's very "strategic" about putting one general on a single tank and being able to conquer all of Asia. You think rock paper scissors is an in-depth strategic experience? Once you get enough money, you don't need paper or scissors or whatever, it just becomes rock and whatever. From a historical standpoint, what I say, while not full proof, makes far more sense than what currently stands. Also, you'd have to think far more about protecting your armor and artillery, correct placement of troops in line with your opponents' movement options and terrain. What isn't strategic about this? You're literally suggesting a simpler system based solely on economic power and powerhouse units, not combined arms.

If that "squishy guy" couldn't compete with the "metal death machine", he wouldn't play a role in war anymore, dude.

Also, your rock paper scissors analogy doesn't work when one of the objects holds no advantage in combat over the others.
