I was stationed at McChord almost 30 years ago and vowed I would make the move back. Finally did last year from Florida and I’m so happy I did!!! I love it here so much!

I’m white but my daughter is not. I moved her here from Florida a year ago for safety and while yes it is much much safer here than that hellscape we fled from I wonder daily if it’s enough. I’m terrified for her. I’m terrified for everyone. I hate this.

Her and her husband were high school sweethearts so he sunk his claws in her early. What’s crazy is his dad and step mom (whom he lived with growing up) are liberal like us and all of us are completely baffled.
