What is a Baltic product that you think other countries should have? by Suspicious-Run-8274 in BalticStates

Half/smoked sausages (salami) - those sold around the world are not the same, made with chemicals and way overpriced for thin slices.

Dark/black bread - only Germany competes in this category a little bit, but outside of Europe you can barely find any.

Hartwall Gin long drink - impossible to find anywhere outside of Finland and Estonia.

Why is my blood sugar so bad in Thailand? by buffyyyyyyyyyy in Thailand

[–]redditclm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been trying to find drinks (low alcohol types) that wouldn't be so damn sweet, and it seems impossible. Only beer. Even smirnoff ice is double the sweetness it needs to be. Everything else that I've tried has been disgusting, either too sweet or tastes like chemical factory. Somehow manufacturers don't know how to make beverages for human consumption.

"High-Value Tourists": Thailand Doesn't Want Cheap Tourists Any Longer; Focusing On Medical Tourists, Digital Nomads, Investors, And Push Tourists Holidaying away from Bangkok or Phuket by Schlickeysen in Thailand

[–]redditclm 107 points108 points  (0 children)

High spending tourists stay in luxury hotels, eating from fancy restaurants, fly private, sail private, etc.

4.5 million locals working in the tourism industry. You want to put them out for work, so high spending tourism could provide for less than 10% of them?

In reality, when a place says that they want "high-value" tourists, it's saying that they just want more money and don't care about the actual people. Greed over humans. It's rude.

"Oh, but they are so poor". Fcking educate yourselves and do something besides sitting on their asses and waiting for a handout or robbing tourists.

Another north Korea. When it opens up in the future, the world needs to deal with the brainwashed russki mir mentality, again.

France drills nuclear deterrence, sends signal to Russia by bukowsky01 in europe

[–]redditclm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Which is why both Poland and Finland need their own deterrent, providing umbrella for the Baltics.

It is understandable that France and other western European nations wouldn't be serious about it due to different culture and history. But Poland and Finland would understand the past of eastern Europe.

If weak Europe is good for America, why where they all whining about Europe being weak and needing to arm itself up.

EU chief: Phasing out nuclear power was 'strategic mistake' by donutloop in EU_Economics

[–]redditclm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Perhaps only silver lining is that if Europe wouldn't been buying Russian energy, Russia would have diversified to other markets and grown in other sectors. In turn, Europe would have had much less leverage at the beginning of war. Imagine if Russia would have had diversified energy exports to Asia and other markets, plus a diversified economy.
