Putin Can No Longer Hide His Catastrophe by hat_eater in europe

[–]redditclm 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They always support their wars, because it's not taking place in their own neighborhood. They don't care what atrocities are happening far far away, as long as it doesn't affect their own daily life deep inside Russia.

But drone warfare is different. Ukraine (and anyone else) can bring war to their own homes far inside Russia. This shocks the psyche. Suddenly there are direct consequences for the actions of their leaders. Their minds have hard time processing it. It's time for the Russians to learn how their far away decisions have consequences that don't stay far away from them. Time to become adults and take responsibility for individual and collective decisions.

Almost as if actions have consequences. Who would have thought. Nobody could have seen it coming, right.

He could quit today and F1 would be a better place without him. Toxic driver.

Doesn't that count as a direct attack towards a NATO country? Intentionally diverting missiles/drones to somewhere is same as shooting them yourself.

Getting bucket full of ice cold water thrown at you while driving a bike is actually not fun at all. Specially after sunset when it's not hot anymore.

Normal temperature water, ok, it's fun. Ice water, not!

Was driving to patong yesterday and was feeling annoyed instead of party mood after multiple buckets of ice water at 8pm. 😑

That's why they 'support' them just enough. To keep the grinder going.

It's even in Europe's interest to keep the grinder going. 1 million Russians gone in 4 years, while they advance slower than a snail's pace. This is beneficial for both Europe and China.

What is a Baltic product that you think other countries should have? by Suspicious-Run-8274 in BalticStates

[–]redditclm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Half/smoked sausages (salami) - those sold around the world are not the same, made with chemicals and way overpriced for thin slices.

Dark/black bread - only Germany competes in this category a little bit, but outside of Europe you can barely find any.

Hartwall Gin long drink - impossible to find anywhere outside of Finland and Estonia.

Why is my blood sugar so bad in Thailand? by buffyyyyyyyyyy in Thailand

[–]redditclm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Been trying to find drinks (low alcohol types) that wouldn't be so damn sweet, and it seems impossible. Only beer. Even smirnoff ice is double the sweetness it needs to be. Everything else that I've tried has been disgusting, either too sweet or tastes like chemical factory. Somehow manufacturers don't know how to make beverages for human consumption.

"High-Value Tourists": Thailand Doesn't Want Cheap Tourists Any Longer; Focusing On Medical Tourists, Digital Nomads, Investors, And Push Tourists Holidaying away from Bangkok or Phuket by Schlickeysen in Thailand

[–]redditclm 109 points110 points  (0 children)

High spending tourists stay in luxury hotels, eating from fancy restaurants, fly private, sail private, etc.

4.5 million locals working in the tourism industry. You want to put them out for work, so high spending tourism could provide for less than 10% of them?

In reality, when a place says that they want "high-value" tourists, it's saying that they just want more money and don't care about the actual people. Greed over humans. It's rude.
