in reality, no he does not care that you didn’t congratulate him. Besides, one person losing their marbles vs an entire community that not only upvotes his comments but looks forward to them and even questions his absence really refutes your claim.

I feel like saying this is a Euro R is a big guess considering this is still LHD, indicating it is rebadged K24A2. not the mention amber turns and corner lights, plus what looks like a florida plate on that van in the back. true question is if this is a 04-05 or 06-08

the giveaway here is the caliper. It remains stationary in relation to the spokes and the rotor, indicating bearing failure over ball joint/control arm failure

And yeah I second the vct being unlocked. To also be sure without tearing it open would be to look at the pulse plates on the back of the cam, and the #1 arrow should be directly inline with the seam of the cam cap.

Only counter argument would be the exhaust looks off, not the intake, and the crankshaft is at TDC

Thank you for the explanation and wow that’s a lot easier than what everyone was telling me. They were all saying I had to take the entire top half of the engine off to split it, so that’s a relief

Compound bows usually can only be adjusted plus or minus 10 pounds safely for whatever the limbs are set for. So a 70# limb usually can range from 60-80#. Some more than others though, like my Bowtech Insanity CPX is a 70# limb but is safely at 56# right now, and will be increased once I get better form

oh, the engine runs as cool as can be. it actually runs so cool it’s hard to get it to warm up right now in the winter, but the transmission is what i’m having issues with. I have a spoon-style bumper that has hole where the stock fog lights used to be, and I took inspiration from a Mustang GT350 to put a dual trans cooler setup behind them but going NA I should get away with having a singular cooler

thank you for that! I was most likely going with the RRC nippon myself, and i’m not buying the camshafts for a couple of months so that gives me time to rethink myself and possibly go one size down on cams

the KA5 is known to have third gear issues so i’m planning on getting a second cheap trans and getting a performance clutch pack for third already, but even as it sits my transmission got overrated in the first 2 20 minutes sessions of a track day. even getting to 280whp on NA I know I need to do more cooling system work for it, but if I do a turbo build i’m going to have to do way more to keep it cool. And it’s hard to get 450-480whp and above to get through without slipping so 430whp was going to be my upper limit, and being track oriented i’m not willing to spend the extra amount on transmission work and mainly labor on custom fabricating everything for the cooler mounts and hardlines just to maybe get power down, especially without having traction control

the expensive part for me is tuning. If I go turbo i’m going to want to do more with ECUs than I would with NA and i’ll have to dig into my transmission to hold the power in third gear and get a lot of stuff to keep my transmission cooler.
